No one knows and can explain Subaru better than Alex; thank you for posting.
Thanks! I really appreciate that 😊
I love the video I just bought one about three hours ago the red mine has a CD player in it thanks for the video I forgot to mention there are no cars out there and the car that I did get someone ordered it and changed their mind and that’s how I ended up with it I was very lucky
Thank you, your videos are really helpful. I did purchased an Impreza 2022 and this helps me a lot in understanding the functionalities of the vehicle.
You're welcome! Glad I was able to help. Thanks for checking out my videos 😊
@@alexpmo hi Alex...those the 2022 Impreza come with that PESKY ""IDLE STOP & GO"" feature, i know that the Crosstrek and Legacy have it and i am hoplng that the Impreza does not...this presentation of the Impreza was so informative that i felt obligated to subscribe...thanks for your hard work
Fuel consumption???
How does the car drive? One important omission in the top-if-the-line Impreza is that wireless charging is not available nor is wireless Apple Car Play or Android Auto.
Your videos are great. I just bought the 2022 Subaru Impreza Premium Hatchback. I have a half dozen books to go through but the videos should cover most of the important information I need to get on the road.
Thanks Linda! Let me know if you have any questions
I just bought the 22 premium hatchback also...Not coming until middle of june😑
Why doesn't subaru add a lumbar support on the Impreza and Crosstrek ? I don't need the size of Forester any longer ,but I have a bad back. I'm not buying a 30,000 Crosstrek and have to purchase a lumbar pillow.
Thanks to your (very thorough) presentation, I'm heading to my local dealership for a test drive!
I looked at the Impreza manual shift. I ordered the Crosstrek premium because ingress/egress was easier. Delivery expected in April.
Thanks for the video. Just purchased one for my son and we've been wondering what some of these buttons do!
Strip all the features that make the car cool and electronic safety features and thats the base model
brutal armrest pass
Driving impressions?
I hate how stingy Subaru is with the LED headlights. Include them on all trims, especially the sport. So many other cars have them standard.
Really good and detailed review of the Imprezza Alex! Thanks!
Always a full tour of the models. So many choices that 1 day I want a Legacy, the next a Forester, then a Crosstreck, then…then….🤣
It’s a hard choice!
Nice review. We own a 2018 hatchback Impreza. That’s why we chose a 2022 Impreza premium sedan. Nice car. A couple of items that I wish would be on the premium model, is a power seat, and a key fob. Outside that, we are perfectly happy with our choice. Subaru should at least offer the 2.5 in the Impreza. The 2.0 is very weak. We own 3 Subarus. As I mentioned, a 2018, Impreza base. A 2020 Subaru premium forester. And now, a 2022 Subaru Impreza premium sedan. I recommend all to stay away from the base. I would also stay away from the limited. The limited is too expensive. The base does not even have alloy wheels. On our base Impreza, we have lost 11 wheel covers. You may think that it must be our driving habits. Well, we also own a Nissan Sentra with wheel covers. In over 100,000 miles, we have NEVER lost a single wheel cover. In less than 60,000 miles on the Impreza, we lost 11 wheel covers.
Thanks James! I was surprised when subaru didn't release the 2.5 engine in the 2021 model for the impreza. Seems like a lot of people wanted it so the demand is there.
What I failed to mention, is the CD player is not needed. I would prefer to have a heated steering wheel. You have heated seats. If you need the heated seats, it would be nice to have a heated steering wheel. We do like all 3 of our Subarus. Get rid of those hub caps on the base. Huge zonk. At least offer the 2.5 engine. Perk up this lazy Impreza.
Since I last posted on here, I lost another hub cap. So, I finally but the bullet and put a nice set of after market wheels. The car is the crimson red base trim. We chose gloss black wheels. With the flat black mirrors and other black cladding helps the appearance of this car. We now have 69,000 miles on this car. What cringes me is the maintenance costs. The owners manual states to change spark plugs at 60,000 miles. 800 dollars is a bit much. We got 69,000 miles out of the original tires. The car had to have a re alignment at the time of changing out tires. So, in 69,000 miles, we spent a little over 1600 dollars, with the alignment. Wheels, tires. And to spend another 800 for spark plug replacement. That is way over what should be spent in maintenance. If you are interested in purchasing an Impreza, my advice, is purchase at least the premium trim. Alex, I appreciate your videos. I just hope that my personal experience is useful.
If the engine is weak or underperforms how come that wasn’t a deal breaker for you? You could get a Honda Civic, or even a Toyota Camry LE, and they both perform better.
My girlfriend is looking at buying a new car and I've been trying to convince her to get a Subaru forever! She likes smaller 4 door hatchbacks so I'm trying my best to get her to test drive an Impreza because I know she'll love it and the AWD system is going to be perfect for her during Wisconsin winters.
I just bought the exact car in this review last weekend and I absolutely love it
Out her in the direction of an upper trim crosstrek. Get the 2.5 engine. The Impreza does not have the needed power. Trust me in this on e. I own 2 Imprezas. And they are both slower than molasses. They are a nice riding car. They are attractive. They gave very nice interiors. There only problem, us they are so slow that they take, all day just to pull out of the driveway.
Thank you for this informative video. I just ordered a Subaru Impreza 2022 sport edition. I’ll watch this repeatedly after I collect the car. ❤
Hey Alex I purchased the 2022 Suburu Impreza with the STARLINK Security Plus package which includes Remote Engine Start. I see that I do not have Climate Control option in the ap. Are Impreza's excluded from that option?
Does the eyesight also work as a parking sensors for the front?
Seats don't fold flat. There's a significant bump in the load floor.
Why does the infotainment screen look horrendous
Why do you not use the Blue one for showing? It is way more appealing and eye catching!
I ordered the red.
That's a whole lot of button blanks on the left side by the traction control on/off button.
Thanks for the info! What would have changed from the 2022 to 2023?
The 22 and 23 are identical
@@alexpmo cool thx for the info defiantly helped with decisions on the next purchase of vehicle!
Nice job Alex! Just got a 2023 Impreza Hatchback in January. Thanks for explaining the cruise control features. I couldn't find it in the bible that came with the car!
I turn off pre-collission b4 car wash. I'm not sure if necessary. Maybe a good topic. Thanks for great videos.
Do most of these cars have car starters? I'm looking into getting one of these. I have never had a car starter. I'm getting with the times lol
Electric car starters were introduced by Cadillac around 1912.
Since then they have become universal, found on almost every model in the world.
Watch out for that crank. If the engine backfires it can break your arm, or worse.
Hoping you can answer this for me. I am looking to order a 2022 limited Impreza. How are the seats compared to the 2017 cross trek. ? I drive over 22k a year and hated my fiancés 2017 pleather seats.
Hey Alex, what’s the car in the background in the 0:02 mark or the video? Not the SUV but the sedan that’s silver
That one is a used mazda3 speed hatch back. They also make a mazda3 sedan though!
Is the Impreza and Crostrek based on the same car?
Yes, they're built on a similar platform. The 5 dr impreza hatch is about about the same size as the crosstrek, just sits lower to the ground.
@@alexpmo Those extra inches of ride height translate into a great deal easier ingress and egress. Crosstrek for me.
Great video! Is there a button that allows you to open your garage door?
I have three programmable buttons on the bottom left of my auto dimming mirror with compass.
Nice Impreza, I love the adaptive cruise control on my Crosstrek. I use it daily, I also love that it has a CD player. I Live in Denton Texas but work in Dallas, I see Subaru's everywhere. I love mine, Great everyday driver.
Just got a base model of the Impreza hatchback! Should be coming next week hopefully!
Congrats!
Ayee me too!!🙋♂️ I got the same color one as on the video
@@alexpmo just got my car this week! What a difference coming from the Honda Fit I traded in for it!!
@@mac2pro99 I own a fit currently… big difference in road noise? Mine is an 08 sport - still torn on staying with a hatchback model
@@petewanca HUGE difference in road noise. Really the Impreza is such a better drive than the fit. Going on the highway alone feels so much better (not like I'll be blown around on those windy days)
Hey Alex has your dealership gotten any 2022 subaru forester tourings?
Not yet. Should have our first ones arriving in December. I think we have one touring that’s still available
Hi Alex! Does 2022 Subaru Impreza premium have Auto Start Stop because I don't see Auto Start Stop listed in Window sticker ?
According to the standard equipment list, neither 22' or 23' Imprezas have the auto start stop.
hey alex, can we play audio files from a flash disk plugged to the usb port? as always, your tutorials do help me a lot. thanks
Is there a CD player still available in any of the SUBARU’S??
Yes, I didn’t cover it in the video but the Impreza still has a CD player. You can also get a CD player added as an accessory on models like the outback and legacy.
The premium has a CD player
I have one in my 2020 Forester and my 2022 Impreza. I do not have one in my 2018 Impreza.
yep just bought a 2022 impreza shame i dont own cds anymore!
@@brandonhelton7888 😉
Are you taking order for wrx gt 2022?
Orders open up the first week of January
@@alexpmo I’ll reach out for sure!!!
You want a CVT?
Vidéo très bien documenté comme dans toujours.
Thank you!
Prefer this over Crosstrek
Another terrific and informative video. Pity you’re not in Australia!
What’s the ride height please Alex? I think the Crosstrek is called an XV in Oz…and this one is called a Levorg?
Thanks! The Impreza is 5.1” while the Crosstrek is 8.7”
Thanks Alex !
is this impreza lifted? it looks kinda awkward, I own a 2019 sedan and a 2017 hatchback and they are both lower
No lift. However, the limited has 17" wheels which creates more wheel gap and makes it look like it's higher off the ground. The sport comes standard with 18" wheels and lower profile tires so it looks lower.
Are you able to go into any dealership and custom order these?
Yes
@@alexpmo I have a custom ordered 2022 suabru impreza on the way now thanks!
Are side mirrors heated?
Yes
Man, finally… updated
damn pmo finally got youtube famous
Lol
That has to be the ugliest wagon I ever saw. The sedan look ok though.
You don't have to explain how cars work. For example, how dimmer switches work, how tilt and telescoping works, how trip computers work. That is, unless your viewers are in kindergarten.
