are we all aware that this is the studio track with live clips over top of it? I'm sitting here trying to imagine how they could possibly sound exactly like studio to a T playing live but I'm pretty sure it's just the studio track with like clipped in audience sounds

Oh and I've never heard tool use dropped C, or at least thats what it sounds like. Awesome song btw, love it!!! Favorite on the album and its awesome to see an aussie band with such talent!

I am utterly amazed by these guys!!! I may hear alot of shit over this next statement but please see where I'm coming from before attacking me. There's no denying that these guys sound alot like TOOL,right? In my opinion, these guys have one upped TOOL. Breaking Orbit are doing what TOOL should have been doing since ANEMIA. I love TOOL but they have yet to reinvent themselves and any band that's been around as long as TOOL or longer will tell you that it not about changing your sound that makes the band, it's about pushing the envelope. It's about evolving beyond what you have already done. For example, TOOL has that unmistakable sound that defines them but they've let that signature sound carry them for too long. TOOL needs to build on that sound so they can pull from a new fresh musical batter or mixture. BREAKING ORBIT may sound like TOOL but only a because they discovered a different direction to take that sound. I won't be surprised if no-one understands anything I said but I never once said that BRAKING ORBIT is better than TOOL or vice versa.
Cool stuff. Sad no new songs from them for years. Btw it’s not live, it’s a studio audio mixed with live video.

What tuning does the bassist use? It sounds like the guitarists are in dropped C. I guess he tunid his E string to C?

Tunings are soo tooly. Tasty.
The music itself is great. However, the vocals sounds horribly auto-tuned - which is off-putting. They should get a new singer.

@@Glenwald it is absolutely autotuned, especially at the beginning and during the verses, and the chorus for that matter. But to be honest I think it adds to what they're going for, no human can sing like that but singing like that does make the song better so I'm not bothered by it as much anymore, this track seems to be the worst offender for autotune all the others I've heard it seems to be absent I belive it was an artistic choice to give the song a more atmospheric spacey sound.

***Great sound. Awesome Live***..saw them live for the first time at their CD launch...had no idea about the bands on that night...just rocked up with a friend and had a great night. Dumbsaint were on that night as well...Loved both bands!!!
