Knit all the stripes! Great idea! I love Felici- it's so soft- but it really pills for socks. A stripe shawl is a brilliant idea!
Knit all the stripes is a brilliant idea for a super fun KAL. It covers a lot of bases to be able to participate. I love stripes. Whether it be self-striping sock yarn or striping my own colours or scraps in socks, tops, shawls and other patterns. I love it!

Well, since you now have me hooked on Freckled Whimsy yarn and I love making socks, I think we need a striped KAL.

I use a 5.5” x 4.25” spiral notebook for each person I am knitting for, works really well, everything at my fingertips for size, etc.
I haven't watched the new TS movie but I have watched the Long Pond recording sessions documentary many times. It's so relaxing to listen to while I knit or crochet! I'm 45 years old and happy to admit I'm a Swiftie. Maybe not a super die hard one, but I enjoy her music a lot.
I’d add the start and end dates to your notebook, and just add a pic and short note to an existing project page for your socks.
Love the pink slippers. You could write the date of sock cast on to the yarn band.

You could use a single Ravelry project page for each year/quarter/month - or two pages to separate DK & Fingering weight. The pattern is the same but you could add another yarn to document the color. I do that for donation hats. You have to separate projects if there’s a different pattern but if it’s the same you just add yarn. Just a thought.
I was just going to say this!! Each moth you could upload all the socks done in that one month and just have it be “May socks” with all the photos.

I would make one project page for your size vanilla socks, then another for DK socks and call it good! Also from Michigan and love knitting socks
Hello from Swansea, Illinois. Watch the eclipse we had only 98% which was nice. I think I bought all of the Felici yarn, I didn’t know that I have as much as I do.

My husband wears pink slippers if they fit him. He steals everyone’s slippers as soon as I’m done, if they fit. He’s even stolen mine. And I make him socks, too.
Hi Lisa. I was so glad to see on Instagram that you are going to see the eclipse today. I live outside of Dayton and it is supposed to be a really cool experience. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. At least you will get a lot of knitting time in the car.

Highly recommend the tandem read. My first time reading throne of glass I read them in order and the second time I did the tandem read. If you have the ebook bundle it is really handy to bookmark where you leave off in book 5 before switching back to book 6 and vice versa. It was really easy to just switch back and forth if you bookmark the end of the last chapter. 😊

Knit all the stripes sounds fun. I love self striping yarn and really hate that knit picks discontinued Felici. Really do not like the colors of their replacement line - they're just so blah. I just started freckled whimsy magical mischief sub and am thinking of stopping my yarnable for another striping sock yarn instead. 😂
I’m debating on scrappy socks from my row one mini’s. I don’t have enough scrap yarn yet since I just learned to knit socks last fall and I’m slow but every time you show your scrappy socks I want to cast some on.

This is it about the collor historie:
The gender-specific colors - pink for girls, blue for boys - have only been in use since the 1940s. It wasn't until the 1940s that the current baby colors (pink for girls, blue for boys) were established. All that time before that it was the other way around and the boys wore pink.

I would just do one project page for dk weight and one for fingering and then just keep adding pictures.
Question Lisa. When changing yarn color for socks, do I start with the new color for the heel and pick up gusset stitches or do I use the old color for that and then use the new color for the decreases. The ssk and the k2 tog.
I do the heel flap and heel turn in the contrast color, and when I start the gusset decreases I use the main color of the sock.
A quick question about your knit all the stripes KAL. Is it alright to knit in scrappy stripes with each sock matching as I don’t have any actual stripey yarns?
As a complete introvert, I would NOT go to the eclipse. It sounds nightmarish to me 😳

I want to watch but I can't stand the sound of when you swallowed your drink. Something is wrong with me lo.
I shouldn't tempt you but I was scrolling on KnitPicks and found Felicini. (Felicini reimagines the playful colors of Felici by scaling them down into happy, little stripe sets on the beloved fiber blend for socks). I could not resist purchasing some. They are larger balls of yarn but I thought it was worth a try.
