💕 Love the front skylight where most people add storage. 💕 Love the refrigerator is up high. 💕 Love that you made a dry bath 🚿. 💕 Love the drop down bed. 💕 Love the built-in storage. 💕 Love the paint job. The ONLY thing I would want different is more of a comfy sofa. Otherwise, this is one of the most well thought out vans I've seen.
Excellent conversion. The underbed cupboards are genius. I'm considering a conversion but with the lift bed at the back (because probably going for an L3, just for easier parking - always a trade-off with interior space.) The need to ditch the cuboards was causing me concern & until I saw this video, just hadnt thought about actually attaching to the underside - so thanks for that. It would limit the height it can lower to, but reckon its worth it.

Hi, thank you. We had no problems and it passed its annual check (MOT) that we have to have here in the UK. Not sure about any other countries. Hope all goes well with your conversion.
Have you had your van weighed? I'm building an L4H3 at the moment and am really trying to watch the weight. If you're comes in under 3.5t I have nothing to worry about lol.

Hi, it came back as van with windows 3 times and then eventually after putting more graphics, alloy wheels and respirating front quarter bumpers we have had it classified as a motor caravan by the dvla. We do think the colour was a hindrance. Hope yours goes through ok but if not keep trying.
I hope you don't mind me asking questions about the bed lift. I want to build a single drop down bed for my young son in the camper i'm building this winter, for him. Can I ask what motor you have used for the bed lift and where you got it? Also how did you clamp the webbing onto the round bars? Thanks in advance.
Hi, it was trial and error but ended up with a motor from a roller shutter garage door that I acquired from a local company. 12v/24v motor. As to fixing the webbing I cut a slot through the bar and made a loop on the end of the webbing, securely fixing with sewing machine, passing it through the slot in the bar and inserting a metal pin through the loop then pulling tight against the bar. Hope this makes sense. Anymore questions feel free to ask. Ian.

I searched eBay and found some runners for a 3D printer, it runs on a roller bearing carrier on an aluminium extruded rail. It all seems a bit of a cobbled together concoction but it works fine eventually. Could have bought an Italian bed lift system at £2500 but that was beyond my budget so hence this is what I come up with.
@@riley.livingthelife Ive got those V grove rubber rollers in my ebay basket. After looking at all the commercial bed lift designs, I honestly don't see anything better than the DIY versions.

If this model has the same diesel engine as the Ford transit then make sure you change the fuel filter every 3k miles and carry a spare. These fuel pumps are prone to breaking down due to poor fuel quality so make sure you don't fill up with dirty fuel.
I was about to ask the same. I noticed the reinforcement of the front cab, where normally the bulkhead is attached to, has disappeared. I know a lot of motorhomes have that removed as well, but for sure there needs to be some extra reinforcement to be done as compensation?
The best one I've seen, fully functional, plenty of storage. Even a proper cooker fitted. Amazing use of space!

Its a small difference between L3 and L4, about 35cm. How will this help you when parking? Or are there any legal restrictions?

add eliminox {sulnox) fuel conditioner and you'll have no fuel issues
It seems to me that you cut off part of the structural reinforcements, it is completely illegal and unconscious to do so, at least in France...

The bulkhead is designed to be removed and is not structural, many vans have them taken out. 👍🏻
