I don't disrespect Ip Ching. He's an excellent marketer, but an average martial artist. I've seen him working with his students, and his students themselves. Yeah he's an old guy, but his students are young, and what I've seen is not what I expect from a "Grand Master."
Because the all powerful Grandmaster is immune from criticism? That kind of putting martial artists on pedestals is what leads to the personality cults so prevalent in kung fu. A true master should welcome criticism.
A real wingchun student knows that old sifu never reveal a true form in front of camera/everyone.. Ip Ching in whatever situations, also will never taught us d right form unless we r his inner door students. Only those who gain baishi level can understand that my words is true.
+WC Seeker Well, we can't expect an old man to perform martial art at full speed, strength with absolute accuracy. If a 20 year old do like that, then he should be ashamed, but this may be the best old men could get.
+Trần Quang Minh Thanks for your reply. Unfortnately, I am not talking about the speed. I am talking about the form. If you know the WC principles, you can tell. e.g. You can see the elbow is off, the foot work is not perfect etc...
WC Seeker I understand that, maybe he is too old so his mind is not able to control many complex movements at the same time anymore, not to mention his muscles and joints were not capable to perform the movements correctly anymore.
At his age, as a Grand Master his form is not off at all. If you understand the lineage, you will understand and appreciate the fact that everything is spot on & it's just another example of a Grand Master's Form caught on video. People think they are so politically correct in analyzing other people's lineages. This look's different than what I learned so it's wrong type of attitude. Actually everyone can learn something from everyone else and stop playing the role of the judge all high and mighty behind their computer and show some due respect. Oh, you might not respect the way this action was performed, but at least respect the amount of time the Grand Master has put into his own lifetime of training. His Father was Ip Man, and still people wan't to talk shit about this and that. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, it was his Father, not Your Father. He's forgotten more cherished memories than any amount of photos or so called memories you think you have of the Man. The growing of a practitioner's Wing Chun is a slow process and some practitioners at lower levels still struggle with ego problems for a long time. Once you grow out of that and practice Wing Chun in Everyday Life, you learn that Nature is the Highest Level of Wing Chun. Nature just is. Once people just are, they can learn to accept everyone for who they are and what they practice because at the end of the day - it just doesn't matter.
The best of the best, there is no one better.
R.I.P
Respect!
amazing!
What was that big "crane-flapping" arm movement for ? What does it do in an actual scenario ?

'Marketer' ? No. Grand Master - Yes. Show some respect, you sound stupid.
Anyone who criticizes Grandmaster's Kung Fu is revealing their lack of knowledge on the topic.
Hello ,you tube
Very sorry ,Master hz fooled you in a great extent.
Wise men.
I've seen nothing that's efficient
