This is such a good tutorial!! Thanks for sharing how you color skin! I love the use of color pencils too! I need to try that out. Gorgeous work as always!
i used to love art or more specifically painting but over the last year i just lost my love for it so i though i would try markers as they looked like they could produce my style of art well and so i bought some the other day and i was looking for a good tutorial on skin tones and i think this is the one! it's straight to the point and informative which is good bc i feel as if most people often begin talking about unrelated things and as this would be my first time using them it's extremely confusing when people change topic. I especially loves the diagram which showed the areas to shade as that's what i'm most worried about aha, i think this will be super helpful so thank you so much for making this video!!
Wow, thank you for doing this! I’m just starting to look into buying those markers and find this incredibly helpful. Will you possibly have more tutorials coming up about how you sketch faces, lips, eyes and so on? I’m a beginner and can’t get enough of those and love your style!
Thank you so much! Yes, ive just released an eye marker tutorial, and will release a hair one soon. I will also release drawing tutorials in the future :)
haha despite me having a whole ass degree in art and years of comic drawing experience, ur video taught me a lot.. Thank you so much! I really need to get myself some colouring pencils, they make such a huge difference!
I like your method right now I'm practicing darker & then I'll move up to lighter .I figured once i learn dark skin tones lighter will be easier to understand as well.
Omg I love your voice! I can't believe I just now found you uwu But I think that the music is a little too loud and distracting? Especially at the beginning, it's almost like your voice and the music are competing and it makes me all like "aahhh!" But for real I really enjoyed this video
DO YOU NEED TO PRESS HARD DOWN ON PAPER WITH MARKER WHEN SHADING?? IM JUST WONDERING. I CAN HEAR 5HE MARKER SCRAPE ON THE PAPER LIKE A MAD WOMAN BUT IT LOOK GREAT
Bristol Board :) I think it's smooth as opposed to vellum. You ideally want a very smooth surface for markers so you dont damage the nib/absorb too much ink.
Oops can you please do a tutorial on the 80 psc markers that is only I have :^ Edit: I actually dont have a color pencil please do a tutorial on markers only :(

This is very helpful. I always have trouble with skin tone and where to place shadows. Your pictures help a lot on where to shade.

The small diagram indicating where you are hitting the drawing with each color is SO HELPFUL.
