Your integrity with the labeling is admirable. The hobby needs more people like you spreading the knowledge and honesty. In the hobby for the right reasons and the long term 👍
Sending back that Superman to CGC to be relabeled is such a good, moral thing to do, Ryan. It's folks like you that keep the integrity of this hobby alive. Thank you.
cgc is the only company selling nothing but consistency/accuracy and not actually having consistency/accuracy ... why? ... because there are so many in comic community neck deep in graded comics ... so they blindly continue the cycle ... stop paying more for cgc graded comics and the problem is solved
I couldn't agree more. At this point is getting ridiculous. It's clear that they know how many collectors are heavily invested and that eventually most vintage books or there will be submitted so they invent new batches of Kool aid for us to spend more money on
I'm sorry, does Overstreet or GCG state that Golden or Silver Age books will be graded will be graded more kindly ? Grades should be consistent across eras , esp since grading is so subjective . Ppl will simply come to know that a 5.0 or 6.0 of a book from the 30s is a super high grade. U talking about deception being wrong when CGC has intentionally deceived customers for years
To have a definite answer, you need to have a definite photo, or video, of the book in regards to the defect in question. There is no, 'I think', or , 'it seems', in grading.
Staples are just bits of generic metal imo, couldn't care less if they were replaced for ANY reason. The paper is what we collect, not something I have 1000's of in my garage.
The amount of handling defects allowed in 9.8/9.9's is directly proportional to the amount of your yearly CGC expenditures

honesty is, sadly, a rarity. I got screwed over many times in the 80's and 90's. thanks for being a good guy.

Rage, Ryan. Rage against the dying of the Light.
I much prefer Overstreet grading standards this is what I grew up with and used most of my life

Not sure why you think it’s deception. It’s just the way it is.
I like this book as a very fine
Buy the book. Not the grade.
