For a neutral state their military does a fair amount of training in the UK

They sure do, I'm not sure if there is an agreement between the two countries with regards to military protection from the UK?

@@rjonsen There is ,it was only recently made public that an agreement was in place that the RAF has permission to fly in Irish airspace,as Ireland does not have the capability as it has no jets or military radar.
