AMAZING! the combination of steps and aerials was flawless and the partner change with level of difficulty and with only 3 couples was incredible! So fun to watch!!!!
I agree with rb3691j, this is the only clip of any of these dance shows that has somewhat impressed me. this might look like a simple routine to someone who doesnt dance swing or doesnt understand that swing isnt just aerials, but there was some nice stuff in there. i saw some good balaboa, their swingouts were pretty good and they even quoted the Big Apple Dance in their a little. i could also see their connection in their tandum and hand to hand charleston. they are no Max and Annie but still.
There are swing competitions so I presume that's where it was decided. And yes, dance is sport. It's one of the few things that is an art form and a sport at the same time.
@soymustache well if your not on beat your not better. I dance with tons of people like you who think that because they took a few lessons their awesome. Quit sitting on the side lines thinking you know everything and educate yourself. This is Natalie Gomes and Yuval Hod!
their costumes comfused me until I was their 2004 world champion performance. since they took out the Hawaiian part of the song I think they should have ditched the outfits.
The routine is rather prosaic. Best described as "swing for the periodically bored, middle-class, and comfortably well-off". That said, the balboa in the middle is smooooth and graceful. However for the lindy hop, standing up too straight and not pulsing detracts significantly; too rock 'n' roll. And what does "world champion" even mean? According to whom? In which decade? The 90s? Dancing isn't sport...

I'm glad i wasn't the only one who noticed that... and 2 time world lindy champions? Did they not bring the talented people out or...

This was kind if vanilla
I don't mean to be mean but having watched most of the SYTYCD series, dancers like Benjii and Lacey make this group look pedestrian.
Oh please, stop doing bad Balboa in the middle of your Lindy hop routine. It will only show us that you are actually not very good dancers.
This is just a simple routine. I have seen way better and in fact can do better. (Maybe not as on beat as them, but I'm still not impressed.)
Meh. Seems silly they'd pick such a simple routine to show-themselves-off as the "world swing champions" or whatever. what a disappointment!
