Who in their right mind would take a $80,000 truck off road?

Someone who will never take that truck off-road. 🤣

    A midsized truck with a turbocharged 4 cylinder for 60k, I'll stick with my 22 Frontier with a V6 for 40k.

@@JoeMama-j7s mine isn't and I haven't had any problems with it at all. Nissan's 3.8 l V6 is far more reliable than GMs 3.6 which has been plagued with problems since it's development. That same engine is used in the GTR with twin turbos and seems to have held up very well over the years.

What ever happened to using a V8 engine?

After you add a front locker, tires and wheels, rock sliders, skid plates, lift kit, and somehow bump your torque up to 430 lbs, you would have $60k into it. They have a model comparable to your truck in the 40's

$80k just so you can be passed by some non-poser off-roading in a Suzuki Samurai.

I find the GM Canyon/Colorado to offer quite a bit and am impressed. The Jeep Gladiator seems way overpriced when compared to the GM offering.

Posting this here too for feedback from other AEV Edition owners.
I just bought the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 AT4X AEV Edition (Duramax) and I know its heavier than Non AEV edition. Its an amazing truck no doubt. There is some bounce and at times it can get unbearable on less than perfect freeways at almost any speed and 200 of the 300 mile drive home from the dealer was not pleasant. I spent heck of a lot more, paid over 126k including tax and dealer premium. GMC tell me, after extensive tests, its normal. One or two other reviews mention this bouncing effect and perhaps its more pronounced on the AEV Edition. Being desperate, having spent so much on this new truck, since the Wrangler MTs than came with it appeared to be less than perfect, I replaced all 5 tires at 500 miles with Mickey Thomson Baja Boss (that set me back another $2661) and reduced tire pressures front and back. I have to take this on a longer drive for a test. I think its the Multimatic DSSV, either I have a defective set on mine or its something else with the leaf springs or could be anything. GMC is no help at this time. I may have blown my $$$$$$ on this one.

With the high prices on these truck models, I would be able to afford this one in twenty years from now.

I'm sure it's a "typo" that the Canyon has a 10 speed auto, or does it really not have the 8 speed like the Chevy version?

Are you kidding me!? 80k for this trucks now a day’s is ridiculous! And they climb on the prices from there! With this economy who da hell can afford this ridiculously expensive trucks!? I guess I’m a poor sap! For complaining! But that’s ridiculous!

Never did hear how much these trucks are going to be selling for, but guess what, I wouldn't spend anything on these trucks that fall apart after 100,000 miles. Quality is always poor

    Who buys these trucks?

  • @RetroKingOG
    @RetroKingOG 11 місяців тому +1

A 2.7L turbo and all you can manage is 310 hp
It’s a massive four cylinder to only make weak power.
My brother’s eco boost mustang had 315 hp from 2.3L
That’s gonna be a fatal mistake making such little power in a vehicle designed to go offroad.
And how much again do you sell it for??? You are gonna lose sales massively!

It's not about HP in a truck it's about Torque.
