I owned one and I’m buying another one. For someone who wants a muscle car and a true off roader, this is the sweet spot. Think of it as both vehicles in one. If you don’t get it you don’t get it. G Wagons and Range Rovers cost more and can do almost none of what a Wrangler Rubicon 392 can offer road.
We just picked up a 392. My wife’s 4th Jeep. We have a 74 Bronco Coyote Restomod on 37s… this is not as unique, but JUST AS ROWDY. 470hp is fully unnecessary but just too much fun. Will run the 1/4 mile in 13 flat. Total hot rod. The exhaust sounds incredible. Sky 1 touch top is fantastic. Touchscreen is great. Seats feel fantastic. Can’t wait to get it off road. Kudos to Mopar for the crazy radical over-the-top stuff they’ve been putting out in recent years. Trackhawk, Hellcat anything, Demon 170, and now Wrangler 392.
the price on these is eye-watering insanity and Jeep is absolutely pocketing like 20 grand or more in pure profit on every one of these sold, and yet I got to drive one of these for 2 days and i am absolutely in love with it and want one so bad. actually considering selling my Challenger Scat Pack and getting a 392 Wrangler...
This is the most amazing vehicle ive ever had! I was off-roading earlier on a recently logged hilly property, washed it, refilled it with gas (ouch!) and now we are going out to dinner in it. Worth every penny to me… will still be smiling when I go to bed
If I still lived in Utah, the Wrangler 392 Rubicon is THE vehicle I would consider replacing my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with. Over the past eleven plus years, my Pentistar V-6 Rubicon has never lacked for power, but the 392 V-8 would be one hell of a Jeep! Great "road" test, gentlemen! Good to look first before driving over ridge as I learned the hard way. Even if seeing other jeeps going over ridge. They were taking a hard right a top to keep from driving off cliff
Hey Jeep , want to see Jeep people and the entire 4x4 world go insane? Make this engine available in a bare bones 2 door Wrangler! That could make it attainable for the average person. I realize some mechanical and suspension upgrades would be necessary but that’s it. I’m talking manual transmission, steelies , soft top ,hand crank up and down windows. It would be an absolute riot! Unfortunately it’ll never happen because manufacturers make a lot more money when they load up vehicles with extra cheese and toppings you don’t really need.
Not an avid off-roader myself but love these types of vehicles and this one is definitely handsome. However, having driven in one, you will be feeling some strange pains tomorrow with all that body gyration! I got sick of all that racket it makes on road too after a long trip. Not sure how a vehicle this expensive does not have the underbody camera view as the new Lexus? If you have the cash and probably a second car I can see how weekends tackling terrains could be a thing. Great job as usual guys!
If you love off Roading in Overlanding, this Jeep is absolutely worth it. The only thing that holds it back is that the bronco is doing just a little bit more for a little bit less money with the raptor. You guys are correct they should be putting this motor in base level, jeeps with front and rear lockers, or at least rear lockers with disconnecting sway bars as the new recon model. But it is obvious that neither of you are real off-road or overland guys so the idea that this doesn’t connect with you is an obvious.
The beauty is either driving this thing off road, blowing away most turbo cars off the line on the street and finally if you have one with low miles and in good shape a few years after 2024 its going to be worth more than you bought it for.

i love mine more than any vehicle I've ever owned, including my 2 CJ-7's. I feel like I can do anything in it. And there isnt that much road wind noise, but it is a Jeep, so if you want quiet and smooth, get a cadillac.
Great review, guys! Too bad Chance and Mini-Me weren't there, too! That thing sounds as good as the 350 Chevy-powered '84 CJ-7 I used to have. Mine was cooler, because it had a manual transmission.... ;-)
Hi, from Japan!! I used to think big power is justice and less power is guilty. But now, I’ve got older and older. My mind have been changed. I put importance on total balance. Good price, enough power, good capability of running , good settings, maintenance costs, gas mileage, reliability and etc. Many good cars are around you. Don’t buy a car for people to show. As someone who has owned several jeeps and has a 392 Wrangler I can tell you right now the 2 l cannot do everything that the 392 can for one. It's going to come with 30-in wheels and not 35s two. Even if you got the Rubicon version it would still be with 33s and not 35s. Try hill climbing with that little thing. You're going to be putting it in four-wheel low whereas the 392 you probably won't even have to take it out a second

Good video but 100% disagree on it’s not good on the road. It’s the most fun road vehicle I currently own and grab the keys over any of my sports cars. It’s the one car you can actually abuse on the street and not be breaking any speed limits. Is it the car I take to a mountain run no but it makes the every day drive a blast.

Good luck with a “DIY” v8 install with no warranty. The 392 is full time 4wd, has 4.56 gearing and the brakes from the Gladiator Mohave. You got a lot wrong in your comment…
@@grisa12345 The "DIY" install could easily be done with all factory parts for less than what they're charging. The transfer case is the same Selec-Trac transfer case, just with 2WD locked out. Transmission is from the ecodiesel. Differential gearing is the same as the option on a Rubicon. The brakes are identical to the normal Rubicon on the front, the rear are upgraded but that's pointless when the fronts do >70% of your braking. It's a money grab. i completely thought the Wrangler 392 was overpriced especially compared to a TRX or F150 Raptor BUT having driven a buddies TRX a few times and recently was loaned a 392 Wrangler for a few days to drive around the Wrangler is just amazing and I am trying to figure out how to buy one before they are gone in like a year or two...
come on guys it's not that bad on road and I'm a picky person !!!
$45k Hemi option…
$100k and Jeep still cannot figure out how to put a comfortable seat in the Wrangler.
Or a decent stereo really alpine it sucked when it was new
I still don’t think it’s worth anything over 70000
I was bored with mine in a week....js
the idea gone wrong 😢
Could do the same thing In my 99 montero I bought for $3,400
Wanttty
Why would anybody pay that much for that?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Jeep Wrangler Rubikon 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
EV concept for off roading is pure insanity.
From this jeep owner, I hope they go broke from getting woke!
Your wife was right you don't need that kind of power for off-roading you should believe in her lol my wife 4 Runner does the same job for off-roading at half price with that Jeep and bit less of carbon footprint.
You guys are lame...I got one and no- you do not want the 2.0.
? - It seems you somehow missed how much both guys enjoyed our time with the 392, and even mentioning that it’s the way all Jeeps should come. The 2.0L can accomplish anything anyone needs to do - we’ve done it. The V8 is unnecessary. But we both acknowledged that it’s fun. Sorry that didn’t resonate.
Why would you even review a $100k car which is out of reach for almost everybody who watches UA-cam car channels. Rich people almost never have time to watch UA-cam.
Believe it or not, the most successful car channels on UA-cam almost exclusively cover exotic cars and wildly expensive driving experiences. We try to focus on things below 60k, but do drive a bit of everything. Thanks for watching!
What a stupid question. You need to get your Yugo reviews on another channel.
