...as long as I am able, my friend, I will. I have a few more planned projects, like replacing the "oil line of death" and putting in a battery equalizer... just to name a few. Take care, and many happy returns.
From what I can tell from my research, the same part number fits a C7. I don't know if it is the exact same plug or not on the engine. I read somewhere that it was threaded and up near the turbo? Not sure about that one.
I have this part saved in my Amazon cart but I cannot justify it since i have the eberspacher to heat the block.... I did like your video though and the goonzquad is going to be jealous... In the timelapse I think I was hearing jets or planes or the demon spawn from hell... I am not sure since they all sound similar....
@@trentblaine1768 these trucks are such an awesome platform to build anything on.... I want to haul a helicopter around on the bed of an FMTV.... That would be dope...
Yes, you have the ultimate off-grid set up that I can only dream about. I think the sounds you are hearing are small general aviation aircraft... there seems to be a lot of that overhead my place. Sounds weird when it is sped up. They say that emulation is highest form of flattery. I guess it would be cool to just do what they do at their age. A little over 2 million subscribers, sponsors, etc... living large at 25 years old? Maybe I would spring for a selfie stick or videographer. Just saying.
Thanks for the video. As far as cutting the zip ties, don't use the diagonal cutters. Your cut still left a nub after the cut. I deal with electronics and build A/V equipment racks on a daily basis. Those little pricks will still cut and I have battle scars to prove it. Instead, use side cutters. You'll notice that diagonal cutters have a bevel on the flat side, preventing flush cut. The side cutter is flat on the bottom leaving nothing sticking out.
I could have sworn that I replied to this comment... but not sure where the comment went. ??? Anyway, I think I said something like... you are absolutely right about the diagonal cutters. I have a pair of side cutters in my electronics tool kit, but figure most people don't and just have diagonal cutters. Showing the right way to use the diagonal cutters. The BEST way to cut zip ties is with side cutters, for sure! Thank you continuing the story and improve the content. Cheers!
An 'ol boy taught me to use a regular pair of linemen [or regular] pliers and simply twist in either direction 2 or 3 spins & ot pops right off with no edge at all. Give it a try next time.
DUDE! hahaha "skinny punks" -die laughing. Yup, wears a tank top like he's proud of them guns. As always, great instructional build. Keep making those vids. Love the one's with spoof!
I don't know... I am scared about run-away diesel engines, so if something does not work, I replace it rather than blocking it off. I just don't want to cause more damage to something, in the off chance that it might. Cheers!
Thank you for all that you do and share! All your videos are super helpful for me! God bless and keep up the great work with Malachi 👍👍

Another great video, Dave! Any idea if the process is any different for a C7?

You saved my 3116 6.6L on my 1995 topkick thank u
Excellent! Always good to hear good folks finding benefits from the vids. Cheers!
Great job
Thank you, my friend!
What type of coolant do you run in your 3116?
Standard green antifreeze. Pick it up anywhere where it is sold.

You have "off-grid" engine heating. That's outstanding. Overlander campers from this platform are amazing.

Parody making always gives me a chuckle. I did forget to say "dude" a whole bunch of times... I have it a legit try.
Great job, is there any issue eliminating the wastegate of the turbo, the valve does not open. So I put a bolt in the hose and it has more boost.

24 hours, this went from 89 bucks to 120. Lol
Ug... I hate it when price gouging it going on... prices on aluminum extrusions, insulation, panel laminates, etc.... all going up drastically!
Hi Dave how does this block heat work? Looking to add one
It works great... so happy I installed that. Two hours or so and start it like you just shut it off. It is worth every penny.
