I love it I’ve actually been looking online at these Nixee tube clocks and I’m going to get a small one to start and work my way up it’s also nice to see that there is another clock enthusiast out there I have always loved clocks of all kinds you have a blessed day keep up the good work
In your opinions how easy is it to make these clocks I know how to use a soldering arm is it really technical or is it self-explanatory and something that’s easy to do because now I was looking to buy in assembled one but I’d rather make it myself call
If you have a decent iron and solder (Kester) and know how to solder, the kits are rather easy. You need a multimeter to check the values of the resistors because often the color codes are hard to read. Also, many Chinese kits don’t come with instructions, so to have to email the vendor or search the web. You may need to search “LED pinout” to figure out which pin is +. Some of the cheap LED kits have poor clock chips and don’t keep good time. If you are a novice, start with a simple DIY kit from eBay. You can contact me at info@ChestertownElectric.com
