Sonic Information in Data Rich Environments - Jeffrey Hannam

Jeffrey Hannam's research explores a listener centred approach for creative media production and designing sound-based data sonification software tools to support scientific research. His practice encompasses spatial sound design methods and techniques, focusing on a compositional strategy for spatialising sound over multichannel sound systems. As a sound designer and software developer he has developed StarSound and VoxMagellan, two data sonification tools designed for the analysis of multidimensional astrophysical data.
