6 minute or so, the rat pops out, probably had a big impact on the local wildlife. Excellent tour on nicely modded bike. Here in the suburbs, I can fire up the r1200rt, roll to Great Falls National Park, climb a hill, look down on the river and small islands, wish the fools gold boulder I'm sitting on was real. Thanks for giving me an itch to find a KTM, maybe 500, for an adventure.
Wind farms pretty cool? Each turbine contains close to 5 tons of copper. Do you know how much ore has to be mined for a ton of copper? A shit load. "Green energy" is not environmentally friendly.
Yeah definitely a noticeable difference , feels more confident offroad on rocky sections that it’s not going to deflect the bars , and it’s the surprise log or rock you don’t see coming where it helps too ! And also dropping wheelies back down after front wheel has stopped spinning, a worthy addition
Screen & lights are on the Nav tower from Adventure Rally X. I made the rack myself ( there is a video on my channel ) & has cheap rhinowalk pannier bags
My 500 was already road legal when I bought it & came with 6 months registration . I haven’t done anything to it to make it road legal. Are the 500’s not already road legal where you are ?
Great video! I have a 500 and motocamp on it all the time. I mostly hammock nowadays. Unless I know I'm going to be in the desert where there's no trees. I'm in the Pacific Northwest, on the Olympic peninsula. I posted a video a while back, from woods road to sadieCreek. Long video but it was a bunch of us on our 500s and we did 140 mi of mixed off-road riding. Maybe check it out and tell me what you think. We didn't have to have our camping gear because we had trucks at the finish line with our campers for this one.
I change oil at 30 hours , I’m at 27 hours now with 1200 klm. Has been a lot of tight single track in this 30 hours so low Kay’s. For ADV riding oil changes can be stretched beyond factory specs which are basically designed for enduro racing service schedule. If doing a long ride over a week I’d need to factor in changing oil on the trip
@@chinski1 not bad. Do you think running a larger clutch cover and oil cooler you could get that extra 1000kms or more? Thinking of building a 500 or 501.
It’s from tent world , was $40 but worth it I reckon as it packs small , best way to cook for bike camping ! Not sure if stainless , would want to be for $40
thumpitty thump thump, thumpitty thump thump, look at Mickey go!!!! Love it mate! new sub here. Keep it coming. Love the glamour shot of the bike next to the fire, but fuck man! A few sparks and that bike is smoke. Question, why not a bigger displacement bike? .... perhaps this is in another video but I'm new here. Cheers!
Thanks mate 😁, I had a T7 & I sold it to buy / build this 500. The 200kg ADV bikes are just to heavy , I know it’s an unpopular opinion saying 200kg bikes are no good offroad as everyone with one thinks their gravel road is an adventure . But to do serious tracks & steep hills 200kg IS TO HEAVY !! 500 is the unicorn all rounder

Awesome video !!
Great adventure and gutsy on your own
Nice video, captured some of the beauty of the ride and camp out. I got a 22, love my 500, what a great machine!
Thanks mate , can’t wait to get out camping again, they are such a great machine hey , I love it
Hi, nice video. Does the bike vibrate only higher rpm or all range always present?
Great stuff ❤excellent video
LOL I like your vid and I like your style. Take it easy and have a good ride always

Yeah wow, I didn’t know that. Thanks
Great spot for a camp overnight, did the steering damper make much difference on the ADV rides?

Great video & ride. Just picked up my ktm500 and wondering where you located the windscreen, lights and pannier rack?
Screen & lights are on the Nav tower from Adventure Rally X. I made the rack myself ( there is a video on my channel ) & has cheap rhinowalk pannier bags
Good on ya
Great video mate!
Thankyou 👍🏼
bella moto! in strada che velocità riesci a tenere?
Great vid mate, love the beers in the back. thinking about one of these, how much $ to make it road legal do you reckon

@@chinski1 nah, my mistake.

Very nice 😊
How do you go doing longer rides and always doing oil changes? Is it roughly 1000kms then change?

awesome vid mate, 500's are a bloody ripper! where is that stick grill thing from? is it stainless? cheers

Great spot - 20m higher than Wellington
Everything is bigger in FNQ haha
Sweet. What tower did u go with?
It’s from Adventure Rally X
@@chinski1 thank u
That hand/chain saw is brilliant, where do I get one?
I got it from Drifta in Aus, it’s brilliant hey, it was the first time I’ve used it, way better than a fold out hand saw . www.drifta.com.au/
Have to ask. I am assuming that this bike has a composite subframe. Any concerns with putting the camping gear on the back?
AFAIK it's the Husky that has a composite subframe, not the KTM.

What tent are you running?
Oztrail nomad 2. Packs up small , room inside for gear & sleeping , can have fly off for warm weather
Most Important for me 🙏😙😙💘! Increase your stats = "promosm" !
