I made this tart the first COVID Thanksgiving as it was the first time it was just my husband, kids, and me without more family. It has pretty much become the STAR of our meal! We love it so much! We eat it as a side and it is so bright and tasty.

Made the cranberry curd twice last year, once with the recipe crust and again with pate sucre and a marzipan base, and it was absolutely delicious both times. One of the best desserts I've ever eaten. If you haven't tried this yet, go get some cranberries and go for it!!!

Easy & delicious! Only variation is that I added a teensy grating of orange zest, made it in ramekins & served garnished with lashings of whipped cream. It was amazing..

Oh, Lan, this looks wonderful! All I can think is that my mother would have looooooved this dessert. She was all about those cranberries. I remember bags and bags of fresh cranberries, when the price was right, in the fridge and freezer. I think the cranberry cream decoration on top just made the whole presentation. Thank you, Lan!

Made two of these for Thanksgiving, one last night & one this morning! The filling is so good…reminds me of a pink Starburst. I’ve never made a tart before and I followed the recipe to a T and they turned out beautiful! It takes a little time, but is so worth it! You have to try it!

I tried making this three times already and it turns out fantastic. Everyone loves it and I added half a juice from an orange and also some orange zest and it turned out sensational.

Looks awesome but would really like to know your honest opinion if you would add some more sugar since you said it just rolled over into dessert territory. Cranberries can be really tart so it would make perfect sense and one can make it just perhaps once or twice a year. Love your guest and her demonstration, she seems like a real pro. Thank you for this recipe.

I've always thought cranberries were _so_ painfully underrated. I love them! I don't even care if it's splorped out of a can in jelly form, it's one of my favorites! So this year on Thanksgiving, I decided to make a cranberry-rosemary cheese Danish and BOY was it amazing. Omg. I can't put into words how delicious it was. So tart, so perfect. I *should* write down recipes, but I never do, but I'll do my best if anyone is interested 😊 It really is so good. Warm, just cooked, or even room temp after a couple of days. It's *heaven.*

Go, Lan! I made this tart and it's fantastic. I didn't have a piping bag so I served whipped cream on the side so a less spectacular presentation but you got to see even more of the beautiful color. The texture is perfect. The flavor is intensely cranberry-y, and it wasn't too sweet (although I think I reduced the amount of sugar, which I almost always do in any recipe.) Side note: i don't have a food processor and I did it all with a hand mixer and it was perfect.
How much sugar did you decide to use? (I thought I'd do an even full cup, no more than that)
@@MIS315 I believe that's about what I used. I didn't want it to be TOO tart but glad I didn't use as much as the recipe stated. It was very good!!
Q: although piping hot cranberry, does the starch REALLY cooks through without spending yet another minute on the low heat before adding egg yokes?

Id replace the water with orange juice and while hot maybe even some orange peel to seep and puree later. I love orange cranberry stuff. A lot. This is my next holiday dessert this next cranberry season. With of course the juice replacement. Im Giving Thanks.

I recommend using a different crust recipe. I tried this recipe twice and both failed. Way too greasy and flat.
If making a day ahead, what's the best way to store (minus the whipped cream): on counter or in fridge?
I made the Cranberry Curd Tart yesterday evening. It is VERY tart. I recommend to anyone who makes this recipe to taste the cranberry mixture at the end of cooking it in the sauce pan. That's pretty much how tart it will taste as the finished product. Add more sugar one teaspoon at a time to reach your preference.
This year, I used my daughter's homemade gingerbread cookie dough for the crust. OhMyGoodness!
How is the gingerbread cookie dough?

I have made this twice now. Follow recipe exactly by weight and curd is perfection each time…..but….. crust never looks like hers. Walls of tart collapse each time. Tried freezing a few minutes before baking on the second attempt and same exact result. It is edible but in future I will use different tart crust recipes and just use this curd recipe.
Same thing happened to me with the crust, twice. I think the recipe is flawed.
I tried using Arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch and the crust came out hard and kind of crispy. Do I need to use less Arrowroot powder or cut the baking time in half or both. Any help would be appreciated.
