I am a advocate for repair > clone > replace used > replace new. Not much difference in used components vrs new components.

Would regular reprogramming with SPS fix that issue? It seems like the software just got corrupted.

It definitely would have been something worthwhile trying, I just don't have gm programing abilities so that's why I was doing this to try and identify the issue

If there was no driveability issue would it be an option to erase this specific DTC from the list of monitored DTC's?

Good advice. Couldn't you virginize one of the ecus and then do the oem programming? Looks like both ecus were ok hardware wise.

it would definitely be worth trying, I just didn't have all those capabilities when looking at it then
