We find the last trumpet mentioned in the first corinthians chapter 15 and a trumpet of god in the first Thessalonians chapter 4. we also find another trumpet in Matthew 24 and also in Revelation 8 through 11. today is the seventh trumpet of revelation 11 the same as the last trumpet in first corinthians chapter 15.
hi, this is Robert furrow and welcome to hot topics if you're new here consider liking subscribing and sharing, and ringing the bell so you can get all of our new content the comment section is open below we would love to hear from you there are a few trumpets that are mentioned in the new testament and this causes some confusion about whether or not the trumpets are the same or they're different trumpets and it's easy for us to oversimplify and say that the last trumpet of first corinthians 15 is the same as the seventh trumpet in revelation chapter 11. today we want to look at whether or not these trumpets are truly the same some will say that the last of the seventh trumpets mentioned in the book of revelation in the last one being in revelation 11 is the same as the trumpet in first corinthians 15 or first thessalonians chapter four the question is is since first corinthians and first thessalonians are two of the oldest books or the first books written in the new testament revelation is one of the last books written are they really connected are they the same trumpet just because you find a trumpet mentioned at the return of jesus and then the last trumpet in a series of seven trumpets doesn't make them automatically the same trumpets let's consider what the bible says about these different trumpets a study of trumpets in the old testament and also in the ancient world reveals that trumpets were used to gather people together and there were different times and even feasts that had trumpets that were blown that would be a sign for them to gather together so a trumpet was used to give a call for a gathering let's see how that fits in to the passages here in the new testament the first one we want to look at is first thessalonians chapter 4 we'll start in verse 15. it says for this we say to you by the word of the lord that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen
