I’m getting interest in anamorphic capture, and one thing I would really appreciate if @Sony could do it, is bring open gate recording to the FX3. Even if it’s only at 24/25 fps. That would be of great help to get more vertical content.
Love Mark Bone, Just wish in the future Sony somehow put's Electronic ND's in the FX3II, only thing holding me back at the moment. I had it and sold it for more than I paid for it during the chip shortage and got the A7IV to hold me over, unfortunately that camera over heats like crazy but I can "deal" with it. Sony needs to also put false colors, shutter angle and or waveforms in the next "cinema" line FX's if you really want to call it a a Cinema line camera.
Jesse is a Pro at stable handheld shots!) He talked about his magic technic some years ago. And Mark is very encouraging as always! Feeling a bit shy maybe cause of promo))
Not having false colors doesn't really bother me because to me using a monitor is a must, but not having shutter angle in a "cinema camera" doesn't make any sense... It seems like just a simple firmware update, am I wrong?
@@botbot3698 I have the Fx3 u are right most of the problems are software related that’s all Sony gotta is update things which I truly believe they won’t cause Sony are like the iPhone to me…. U gotta buy a new iPhone to get the latest and greatest…
I think Sony can’t get away with ignoring us customers much longer. Now that Panasonic is pushing hard… Sony can’t just sit and watch. I know my next camera will be a Panasonic S2H (or whatever it’s gonna be named). There i get pretty much everything i want and now even an reliable auto focus. Exiting times ahead for customers.
How do you find the low light capabilities of the FX30? I'm going to build a camera rig for scuba diving and the only thing holding me back is the potential struggle with noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼
Since the FX30 doesn't have 24p, if I shoot in 24p with my main camera (FX6), what is the best way to conform 23.976 to 24? Should I just use "Interpret footage" in Premiere or will that create problems?
See this is cool and all but how about a firmware update for people who spent $6500 on the Sony A1, the supposed “flagship”. 8k 60p would be nice now that nikon of all companies put that in their z9. Fucking nikon. Even with a record limit, I’ll take that.
If you a Sony Fx3 all u gotta do is put it in 1080 and then u can use SUPER 35 MODE how come no B.I.G. UA-cam channel is talking about this? And you put super 35 mode in clear image zoom and all i..
Mark Bone always impresses. Great job 💪
The sunset shots are just wow!

Absolutely wish they would add open gate, would love to shoot a wider image for certain use cases
Wow!! Those shots are amazing! Shoutout to mark bone 💪🏽🙏

Absolutely love the shots!
What lens were you using with the fx30 during the running shot? Looked in an anamorphic lens .

Great work!
Well.. if the FX3 only had false color and shutter angle.
Ha ha false color and shutter angle Sony will never add those two features…

@@David_Schwarz_DOP I'm also patiently waiting for that camera haha. I just hope that the rolling shutter performance will be improved 🙏
Hi Mark - where is the color cast in 3:19 (selfie shoot of you and Allen) coming from? (Left side is yellow and right is blue) ND filter ?
Good catch yeah
When you recorded you running what lens did you use ? And did you use nd filter?
I noticed the ISO values on the lava flow scenes for the FX30 weren’t left in the lower thirds. Care to share those here in the comments?
Hi Mark! Next time you're running through my neighborhood stop by my house!
How easy it is to match both FX3 and FX30 in terms of color grading?

What camera was he using for the headshot when he was in the room with the white table and mac in the background?
My shutter speed value is displayed in seconds instead of fractions. How do I change it to fractions like 1/50
Cool !!

It does now because of the update
Fx30 had cinetone??!
Yes!
for the running shot are you saying he got that running? It looks like the camera man would be in a car or on a onewheel?
It had to have been in a vehicle cause no way Sony internal stabilization is that good
is this a real question?
Edited in what though?
What difference does it make? It'll look the same in any software.
Great
you putt'n us on?! I mean, there was NO bending in the helicopter blades... no offense but that's hard to believe!!

Because in clear image zoom, the fx3 doesn’t have eye autofocus like the fx6 does. If you use manual lenses, then it’s perfectly fine.
Out of curiosity why would you want to shoot in 1080? besides saving Harddrive space
@@aenimatt if you use the Fx3 with clear image zoom it does work with auto focus
Thats not oversampled 4K tho
@@Barnabas87 yes, but not full autofocus with eye AF and touch tracking, like the FX6 can do in clear image zoom.
F**k Sony, I'm still waiting for my A7SIII firmware upgrade.
@bluedun9816 just announced firmware upgrade coming around March 2024
