Love the videos just a quick question I’m looking at the hardy HBX for pike which do you think would be the better option the 10wt or the 9wt
I would have said a 9#, the HBX is complete canon…. The 10# will quite happily handle a 70lbs tarpon… depends on the size of the pike really. I was using the 9# for milkfish and bumphead parrotfish up to 40lbs and it had no trouble… hope that helps!
Would the 9# be ok casting larger pike flies in windy conditions
Actually Anthony in retrospect I think the 10# would be better for big flies.. was thinking more about the size of the fish….
