This tops it all though. Measured against any genre this is one of the best songs I've ever heard.
EDIT... just read that Quivver did the vocals, another of my favourite producers. It's the gift that keeps on giving :)
You got some of those years wrong. Renaissance was 1994 and Xpander was 1999.
Why isnt Air Drawn Dagger on that list?
@@jkim760 this is something that no doubt you won't agree with but although I liked airdrawndagger, and in production terms it was brilliant and way ahead of its time, I felt as an album it lacked a stand out track. It's not really a criticism of the album but I like to hear vocals every now and again.
Or maybe I was just disappointed at the time because "be as one" wasn't on the album. I was hoping for a greatest hits
@@chrislaw4189 correction is noted thanks . When the first renaissance mix collection came out I was only 12 and still listening to guns n roses so I'm not so familiar with the chronology of the earlier sasha releases .
Seems crazy that renaissance mix collection 1 was from 1994. Sounds a lot more refined than much of the dj mixes released back then. I really got into it in 1996 when I heard Paul oakenfold and nick Warren's cream live 2 mixes and northen exposure 1. Didn't really go back to guns n roses after hearing northen exposure 1

I got married to this song, such an amazing record.
Its a beautiful and haunting song, although it seems a strange one to get married to. This song was initially hard for me to listen to because it brought up memories of my failed marriage from 10 years ago. Particularly the line, "The dreams we had are getting old, too far away to remember". I was high the first time a played the record, and I can get more emotional when I'm high at times, so maybe that had a little something to do with it too, but I cried the first time I heard it. I gave it one more listen a day or two later, cried again, and never listened to it again because it was too difficult a song for me to hear. Funny thing is, I'm filling out a dating site today. This will be my first time dating since my divorce, and one of the questions is "The saddest song ever written is...". I thought of this song and today is the first day since then that I've listened to it again. Just thought I'd share because its funny how polar opposite our experiences have been with this tune. Great tune though. Blessings to you, and may your marriage turn out better than mine did!
