    I have the same machine with a Shearex mulching head. I have 52 hours on mine and I love it. They did a good job with this machine. I had a 75-2 previously and had zero issues with it. The changes they made just make this an awesome machine. Kubota does make a boot kit to cover the openings around the vertical cylinders that utilize the holes you pointed out early in the video. They keep all that material from getting down in the engine bay.

      Glad to hear you’re happy with it so far, they’re very nice machines. I’m patiently waiting for the larger sizes (95,97) to move on to the -3 revision. The dealer here can’t seem to find the boot kit. Do you have a part number by chance?

    Got the same machine. I love it. Look into the Armordillo guards for coupler, lights, etc. and forestry door if you havent got one yet. Enjoy!

      Awesome! A forestry door was put on when I bought it. Those are nice guards and expensive… maybe they’ll send me some. lol! A coupler guard should’ve been standard on these.

      @@brazybk Small world, Wake Forest isn’t too far, I’ll keep that in mind. Seems like a good all around machine but an ASV 120 or 135 is probably going to be my next move for forestry mulching. Thanks for watching!

    niceee, I'm on the search for a 75-3 or a 97 but down in the Florida area none can be found, so might be searching up North a bit to see.
    And have similar thinking as you, that prices of used machine plus the chances of landing someone else problems for a business, don't see it that smart if you have the option for a new one.
    Thanks for the vid,!

    I think the machine is a little small for a head. You can hear it stall a few times. I think the new deere p series is going to be the best for heads. 333p or 331p.

      It was not being ran at full throttle in these videos, due to break-in requirements. It has passed the break-in period now and spins a bit faster. This setup was purchased because it’s smaller and lighter than most mulching setups, only ~11k lbs combined. It’s definitely not meant to be a mulching monster. And those deeres are fire prone, due to their compact mechanical design. Thanks for watching

    • @BrushCommando
      @BrushCommando  15 днів тому +1

      Thanks! It was ~125k for the machine and head. It’s a good overall setup for light mulching and general skid steer work. I hope to get an ASV 120 next year for larger projects.

    Pretty nice option to have. Regarding your "UA-cam skills" I'm curious what camera you use? I find the GoPro Hero 12 has a shorter than desired battery life leaving me unable to get what I want out of it. The overheating issues trying to record in 4k all but requiring I take the battery out completely, using a passthrough door not being useful when recording while connected to my machines USB port for external power I just feel like it severely under performs based on my expectations from their listed features on the websites. Just wondering if you've found a better option for what to use. I too am working on my "UA-cam skills" (this is not the acct I upload these videos with as I don't want to advertise on someone elses channel).

    • @BrushCommando
      @BrushCommando  2 місяці тому

      I just use the cheap AKASO Brave 7LE action cameras. Battery life isn’t the best in 4k, like all others, but no overheating issues so far. However, you can get extra sets of batteries and another charger for under $20! Also has port for charging which is what I use in the cab. I used an iPhone 15 on the trailer video, which would be my first choice but I don’t want to risk setting it up on a tripod and damaging it.

    • @Zerkini
      @Zerkini 2 місяці тому

      @@BrushCommando Thanks for the suggestion, That Camera is certainly much more affordable and cheap batteries/charger are a great option to have. I'll give it a look and see if I have better luck with it!
      Sound plan, I don't think I'd put a phone on a tripod for this sort of work either.

    • @BrushCommando
      @BrushCommando  2 місяці тому +1

      Good question. I’ve never bought new equipment before, I typically buy auction equipment and fix it up. With the prices of equipment nowadays, used is close to the costs of new. Then you have to be hopeful that you’re not buying someone else’s problem… been there done that. So, new is what I went for and it’s best to have reliable equipment to run a profitable business. You don’t make money working on broke things. As for the Mulcher, it’s matched to the machine basically, there are specific GPM ranges that each mulcher is designed for, so buying a used mulcher can be difficult to do. Thanks for the question and for watching
