Thx Jack for taken us along on a challenging, entertaining and interesting video hats off to all. BITD on my return from Vietnam bought a brand new Z1 and bracket raced at Irwindale, OCRW, and Carlsbad so I gotta go with the Z but great racing by all involved. Thanks Cycle Drag.

Enjoyed immensely, great video. I was a bit sad to not see the old GS Pro Mod not move on primarily because my personal Bike is a 1983 GS1100ESD that I purchased new, I still ride it to this day, not many rides without a few inch air gap under the front tire. I don't know of many bikes that could attest to this type of riding for 39 + years and still be going strong. Randy AKA randog311 (Retired Professional Wrench, Audi's are my Specialty).
@@cycledrag I purchased my GS while I was Wrenching at Alan Johnson Porsche + Audi in San Diego California April of 83'. Just so happened that a pair of Salesmen also bought themselves an 1100 Japanese Sport Bike. A GPZ1100, FJ1100 and My GS1100ESD would park together on the Dealership Lot (pretty Cool). I had a License Plate Frame that read: "Who Needs a Porsche". I moved my family to Colorado in 1994 after the local economy crashed in San Diego. After arriving at High Altitude I Installeda SuperTrapp Superlight 4 into 1 Exhaust, individual K&N's Jetted it with a DynaJet Stage 3 Kit. I lived about 5 Miles from Bandimere Speedway (Mile High) which I attended somewhat regularly for NHRA Events and the like. In the late 90's they would hold all Motorcycle and Snowmobile Racing Events, I raced my GS at a couple of these events although I was presented with a dilemma, the Track had a 12 Second Rule, if you were to go quicker then 12 Seconds then Full Leathers (slower then 12 only a Leather Jacket was required) & an Ignition Kill Tether was required. I wasn't at all interested in Buying a Set of Leathers so I chose to Burn away time by Dropping the Clutch between 3,000 - 5,000 RPM (No 's Required, it's built into the end of Revolutions / RPM is a Snapsot in Time) resulting in a lot of tire spin followed by the engine bogging for a moment before the front wheel shot skyward. Doing this numerous times I consistently ran 12.4 to 12.8 Seconds @ 108 to 110 MPH (Mile High with a 235 Lb Rider). One Launch the wheel went to or beyond the balance point, I brought it down, Hit the Throttle and only managed to loose a half second. I've also replaced some Transmission Parts from a 1980 GS1100E whilst still in San Diego along with Vance & Hines Heavy Duty Bearing Kit and High Volume Oil Pump Drive. Still runs like a violated primate (PC). Randy AKA randog311
I never heard of any of these racers but I am so impressed with their professionalism, committment, all on a shoestring budget--how many have big sponsors? This is grass roots racing unlike anywhere else! They race for the challenge, the love of racing. Its as good competition as you'll find anywhere--drama galore! How about that old man on the Busa?? Wow!

Old school for me, did some drag racing with an old school gsxr in FB class, early 2000, and really like the analogue bikes more. No silly abs or other driving aides for the street.
Gotta say man, totally love seeing all those experience wrinkles and centuries of combined knowledge. Ole boys are liveing days, weeks and years for those few seconds that count. Old bikers dont go grey, we go Chrome. :)
You are so good like this a lot Geoff problem is wheel balance as tire's would make the front shake at any speed easy to notice Balance to wheel is a bit harder as starts at high speeds and pulls to one side badly.
I like the old school applications. How ever do not stop progress, amazing technology to play with good results if everything comes together to get the best out come.
