Ombre fabrics were meant to be sewn into Three Yard Patterns! Bravo for introducing ombre to your patterns! A wonderful marriage of the fabrics to pattern designs. Thank you!
This has been an amazing tutorial. Thank you so much. I've just purchased many of these patterns and books because I could see how I can finally use my stash of 1 yard here, 1 yard there, because they were pretty. And I've never figured out what to do with my ombres. I'm going to check out these kits too. Thank you, thank you.
I think it's amazing just how much different fabrics can change the entire look of the quilt! At the end of the video you named the "Puzzle Me This" pattern and I was literally holding the book and took me a good minute to find the pattern. I just could recognize it with the different fabrics... Will def be trying some ombre fabrics! They came out BEAUTIFUL!!
I bought some ombré fabric at a show, and looked up this video for ideas how to use it. Can you believe, I got THE SAME FABRIC with bees on it you used in this video. Crazy! I'm not sure I'll use the same pattern but there are a few good ideas and inspiration in this video! 🙌
I am totally facilitated by your fabric combinations so beautiful I am new to this channel and look forward to seeing more and learning from your example
I LOVE OMBRES!!!! Fran could you please give the fabric desinger and what company has the fabric? That would truly help me - not sure about anyone else - but I would like to know who makes and produces this amazing fabric!!
I would like to request/recommend giving the fabric name/information when looking up the kits. Would love to find it if your shop happens to be out of stock
Exactly! I've always admired ombre fabrics, but have never been brave enough to try to use one in a quilt let alone two or three them. Every quilt Fran demonstrated is gorgeous!
Hi Fran, that truly was a fun and exciting presentation. 💖🤸🏼♀️🙆♀️ You are absolutely right. The introduction of the ombre printing method in the creation of beautiful fabrics while increasing the possibilities in the final look of our quilts ups the quilters game and while adding a dimension of surprise not possible before. I loved the way you shared your really new fabric and quilt kit inventory. It made me to leave my home in Alberta, Canada and come pay you a visit in Texas, U.S.A. for the purpose of playing a few of those kit building competions that Hannah creates. The only difference being is that the Ombre lines of fabric would also be included. I can hardly wait until Hannah surprises your family with one of these kit competition that also include ombre fabrics! It really would be too hard to imagine what the kits with ombre fabrics employed within the quilt construction will ultimately look like. Making the wait for results of round 1, 2, 3, and so on all the more exciting. Congratulations, and thank you for all you, Donna, and the rest of the Team at Fabric Cafe do to make quilting so creative, fun, and possible! 💖💖💖
I really love these fabrics and quilts!!! The quilt samples were absolutely beautiful! The ombres were very surprising! Thanks a bunch! The tip about joining the ombré binding was a great tip! I guess we should consider that for borders, too!
Daybreak is my favorite….clicked over to your website and it was already gone. Will you be cutting more? I have a fat quarter bundle of that fabric line and would love to make a room’s worth of coordinating decor with it!
Hi Mary! These kits have been VERY popular (we are already planning on doing another show soon featuring ombre fabrics) but have sold out of several of the kits and won't be getting a restock. However, that ombre fabric in the Daybreak kit is a Northcott fabric. The bolt info is - Northcott Morning Light DP25283-44 - hopefully you can find that fabric from another one of your favorite shops 😀
This was a fantastic video. I wanted all of the kits but realistically had to settle for just one. LOL. Thanks for sharing another great video with gorgeous quilts!!
Fran, you must have been reading my mind. I have several Ombre fabrics and was wanting to find a great pattern for them. Thanks for this awesome video! I took inspiration from your previous video and was going to do Ombre trees from the Christmas book.
Hello Fran today's show was fantastic on showing ombre prints. My favorite is confetti magic, I love the colors in that. So many possibilities with ombre fabrics and pattern choices. Thanks for showing us all these beautiful quilts.
Awesome show! All of them are beautiful, but I especially like the Cavern Falls, like you said it looks as though there is light behind it, gorgeous!❤❤
WOW, game changer indeed. I love the Amethyst bliss 0h but wait I love them all!!!! Thank you! I am always looking for help with directional fabric maybe I just need to stop buying it LOL.
Help, I can't find the 3 yard kit with the beautiful green ombre fabric featured in Daybreak on your web site. Is it available? This fabric is perfect for so many applications. I would love to order this 3 yard kit. Thanks
Just wondering if you will be getting more of the daybreak quilt kits? Looks like it may be sold out already just hours after airing!!!!! That’s because it’s such a STUNNING quilt!!!!!!
Hey Brianne! Unfortunately we won't be getting any restock for Daybreak 😥 The ombre fabric in Daybreak is a Northcott fabric and the bolt info is - Northcott Morning Light DP25283-44. Perhaps you can find it from another online shop that you like? So sorry!!!
Loved your ombre video. I wanted to buy a kit or two, but the ones I wanted were sold out. Will you carry them in the future? My first choice was Daybreak using the Curio pattern.
Hi Katherine! We were overwhelmed and overjoyed with the response to our ombre show and many of our kits sold out quickly. Unfortunately we will not be getting any more stock into the shop, however, you should be able to find the ombre fabric from the Daybreak kit on another site. The fabric line information is - Northcott Morning Light DP25283-44. Hope that helps!
