I’m so sorry , Melinda, I know how painful it is to go through this- we lost my sister in July after a 3 -4 year battle of cancer, up until a month before she passed, everyone would say , “she doesn’t look or act sick at all”…..she was so strong…I miss her every single day, but I also am glad she’s not suffering anymore…cancer takes so much from us, and it’s sad that after so many years, we can’t totally get rid of it…I will be praying for you and your family, and esp. your dear mother …❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness, I loved all of these! I love any kind of bird crafts, especially love the jar that you made at the end even though it had all the little problems ripping with the tissue and stuff. You did such a great job camouflaging that and I also love the little bird that you put on top of the jar. Really cute! So wonderful to be part of this collaboration with you

Great video, Kathy! I love decoupage art. I decoupage napkins on canvases from the Dollar Tree and create inexpensive artwork for myself and friends. I also decoupage glass pasta sauce jars, candle jars, and vases. Next I want to try mixed media art and incorporate decoupage. So many options with decoupage!

Another way to use the Saran is to plaster it over the entire surface of the napkin and then smooth everything out. It is much easier and faster and then you carefully peel up the Saran. This method works like a charm!

Did you know you can die cut tissue paper, napkins, and rice paper and make your decoupage transfers. You can also color them with alcohol markers and it won’t smear. You can create beautiful floral transfers, or whatever dies you have. Try it!
Loved your napkin decoupage tutorial, boo boos and all. Especially how to repair tears and the eyeshadow is genius. Do you seal these when done? Or does the napkin absorb the Liquid Patina enough to protect it. I’ve tried this with Mod Podge and you’re right it’s a little goopy for napkins. I’m going to order some Liquid Patina!
Definitely try the liquid patina! If you order from Milton’s daughter, she gives 10% off your order if you use code kraftykathy10 ! And most of the time if I’m keeping the piece, I don’t seal it again, because the napkin is so thin, it usually just soaks that patina right thru! But if I’m selling them, I do like to spray them with the “rustoleum matte clear”it’s a great sealer and my go-to!!❤️
Well- it really all depends on where your booth is, and a good rule of thumb i always used, was to make it 3 x the price…for example if you create something that you paid 5$ for to make, charge $15….i usually would even go lower because in Chattanooga we don’t have a big market for antique/booth type stores- but another think I’d do is walk around and kinda compare what others sold for- that gives you some idea- I closed mine up coz it just wasn’t worth my time and energy, I practically wasn’t doing too hot- but I also didn’t spend alot of time to try different things to see what sold, and what didn’t- I just couldn’t with my channel🤷🏻♀️

I think so- I decopauge on EVERYTHING! But, you wouldn’t be able to get them wet , I wouldn’t think- you have to put a few coats of the dishwasher type mod podge on it, and let it cure- then you could wash it on top rack!

I used to live in Tennessee, Tennessee Chattanooga in 1991 and how do you fix a napkin that leaves half of the tail of a bird off? How do you do that to make that a full cardinal
if it ripped , most of the time when you just add the other piece, no one will ever know it had ripped - most of the time, it looks as though it’s still one full piece, unless it ripped the tail up bad- but if it’s a tear, it should look just fine!
Yes! I like to use a strong heat gun! It’s faster than anything else! This is what I have amzn.to/4araQGN. A lot of crafters use the small mini heat guns, but the big big one cuts 1/2 the time out of dryer compared to the little ones! Thank you for watching ❤️

Can u use mod podge then use acrylic paint ?
Yes you definitely can! I’m not sure the paint oils show up as well, but you certainly can!

Yes! Absolutely!!! If nothing else, I use a spray sealer! I LOVE rustoleum 2x matte clear! It’s in the spray cans at Walmart!
