I could not agree with you more! I can't think of a similar author of books at the moment but to me, Bunny is all about the creation process of writing. The movie Swimming Pool by François Ozon is a dead ringer for Bunny in that sense. I've loved Swimming Pool for years and now I've found the film's kindred spirit in Bunny. I think you'll love Rouge too. It's partially about obsessive skin care but hey, one obsession is as good as another.
I remember seeing Swimming Pool when it came out. I enjoyed the performances, but the story went over my head. (I have attention span issues with movies, and they often don't work on me for that reason.) I'm looking forward to Rouge. I love a good obsession story. That gives me an idea for a video. Thanks😁
Bunny: I haven't had the pleasure , but it seems to be a polarizing read. Paradais (Fernanda Melchor) comes to mind. I loved Eileen (Ottessa Moshfegh) and My Year of Rest and Relaxation has been on my TBR for months.
I've heard mixed things about My Year of Rest... Let me know what you think if you get to it. I've got Strange Sally Diamond on the top of my TBR based on your recommendation. Looking forward to it. Bunny is heavy on style, light on substance. If the reader is good with that, it can be an excellent experience.

Oh this kind of sounds like a horror version of Scarlett Thomas. She (Thomas) definitely isn't horror, but she is detached from reality, cynical, and dark.
