Fantastic video! Really sad to see Gillies St/McClure St go, at least we still have memories of it

    So sad. :(
The crossing is so nice. I can’t believe what happened to it and now it’s gone.

Why can't V/line leave the unused signals at their crossing they were once used at as a part of Victoria's Railway heritage

They just wanted to remove the infrastructure since all other Moolort line crossings have had their infrastructure removed.

Great video! What a shame this crossing is now history. At least you where able to document it in detail while it still stood. How did you find out that the Teardrop is being kept and re-used? Also, do you happen to know if Moscript Street's bell is still intact? Hopefully that one ends up being preserved too.

Thanks Chris, Applehead137 found out from VLine about that. The teardrop bell at Moscript Street was still intact when I checked it out in July.

@@jacktherailwayenthusiast3343 Neat. Could that mean V/Line are finally realizing the historical significance of these bells? I certainly hope so!
Also, did you happen to check out the two Teardrop bells at the former Maryborough Zoo miniature railway while you were there? Last time I visited (in 2018) they were still intact and appeared to be in fairly decent condition:

I'm wondering if anything has changed since then, as I've herd rumors that this area may soon be redeveloped. Hopefully the bells (and lights) can be saved if that's true.

I checked that out in December 2018 and the signals were still there. I’m assuming also you got pics from the fence?

@@jacktherailwayenthusiast3343 Yeah, they were all taken from the fence. I'm actually trying to contact the owners to see if they are interested in selling the lights and bells (or at least would be willing to let me have a closer look). But unfortunately, I haven't had much luck yet. At least the signals are pretty easy to see from the outside, especially the one right next to the fence.

The signals are contracted out and I think Vline may have removed them from the yard
