Have any tips for a newbie? I've heard its not so much about power as it is the technique and torque you get on that last wind-up. I hurt my arm slinging so long and hard that my bicep is bruised so I'd like to focus more on refining my form. I try to mimic your Greek and Byzantine style the most, those seem to work the best for me, but I love the Balearic style simple for its versatility and being able to throw up on to a target or down on to it. Love your videos so much so informative!
Timing the pull/powerstroke is the most important part. A good way to practice this is to sling a heavy projectile (like a baseball), but don't sling it for speed, sling it for the minimum effort it takes to get a throw that feels good, that feels efficient. One where you have a good, steady force on the sling and you have to hold on to the release cord hard not to let it go early. That is the feel that you should be going for. Hopefully that makes sense.
Beauty of a shot bub! Showing love from the slingshot community!!
Great shot. Was watching thinking what style would get it then you go to goober style and nailed it !!!
That throw at 5:25.... almost sent that thing into another dimension.
Yeah, that one felt really good, lol.
100%! I so wish that would have hit. Just missed it.
Even your misses are great info for us newbies 🎉
YEAH MAN!!!!!!! Dang that is satisfying dead on didn't even hit the stick PERFECT! Great job, and thanks for the vid.
Love the sounds of the slings. Do you make the slings yourself?
Yes. I also trade slings with people, that's always fun.
Nice, I need to do more slinging this summer
Awesome slinging brother thanks for the upload 👍

I love how the shots gradually start to home in on the target 🎯
Those hard throws look seriously spicy.

You should! I know one other slingers in Maine. He's also got an Etsy shop that sells slings, 'Ryansoldtimevisions'
