This really reminds me of CDI Zelda, and that's not a bad thing. Despite how crap the actual gameplay was, the soundtrack was pretty good, and all the cutscenes have a special place in my heart from all those youtube poops back in the day.
Your remasters are fantastic. Just finished listening to the Mario 3 compilation. I'd be very interested in what a LTTP remaster would sound like. The Dark World theme seems like it would turn out especially cool.
The sudden, dissonant trumpets in the title theme made me think of back in the day, when RPGMaker 2000 would corrupt the sound card, and the music would sound drunk. I hate to say it, but that part was painful to listen to.
Huh, never heard the Japanese version of the "Battle" song until now. I somehow was unaware the Japanese version even had a different song. It's... definitely not as good as the US version, especially in context of how the song is actually used in the game (not just for actual fight scenes but also caves and wilderness areas, regardless of whether enemies are present.) They replaced an okay-ish fight theme with a GREAT "exploring caves and forests, and probably also fighting" theme.
I agree in the sense of the context this song is used in game, but as a stand alone battle theme, Japan’s is better. So good that it was reused in Minish Cap.
fun fact: although we didn't get it in zelda ii, the japanese version of the battle theme would get reused as the miniboss theme from minish cap.
Princess Zelda's theme is in there too.
@@aquamidi6775holy heck, you just blew my damn mind
WHAT. NO WAY
Palace theme reminds me of the melee stage theme version.
MELEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

"I can't wait to bomb some dodongos".
wow that's one of my favorite renditions of palace ever

Look forward to ALTTP early next year.
@@aquamidi6775 Hell yeah
Some of these sould like they come from an anime of the time lol, very good job with these
Battle and Great Palace are so dang 80's.
Man, you can really hear the influence Borrowed Time by Diamond Head had on Palace in this version!
the hoenn trumpets are the icing on the cake tbh
They should totally add these to that Zelda II remaster on PC
IVE GOT A BOOONERRRRRRRRRR

Reminds me a bit of the SNES sound chip

This must be a reference I don't get.
Subbed because of this. Is there anywhere to download these?

this is missing the game over theme. a beautiful piano melody.
This is what it sounds like in your head when you forget that it's just chiptune and pixels.
Breh, Link’s Awakening when??
Eventually.
Did Toby Fox do an homage to Zelda’s Theme in Undertale? I feel like it was in there somewhere.
