I have to imagine that "leap, whistle and fart" was all in one grand gesture. He whistles as he leaps, pitch rising until he reaches the height of his jump at which point he rips a fart louder than you or I ever could. The court is in stitches by the time his feet hit the ground and he walks on that, not to return until next years whistling leapfart
One of the paintings used in the background of the video was a portrait of polish jester Stańczyk, who served 3 polish kings. Stańczyk was well known not only on the kings' courts but he was also a sort of a public figure: he was portrayed by famous painters several times and his persona was used as a symbol of national consciousness in a famous (...at least in Poland) play "Wesele".

His jester suggested giving them boxes with butterflies and telling them do deliver it to another city, tell them to not open the box no matter what, and simply put a bird in the box, any knight that leaks in the box will surely lose the bird
The name Samuel "Maggoty" Johnson has such a Pythonesque ring to it.

I am somewhat bummed that you used the portrait of Stańczyk like three times but never mentioned him....
Who was he?
@@katherinetutschek4757 he was a court jester to four consecutive polish kings in the XVIth century, famous for his sharp, relentless wit he was not afraid to use on his monarchs. His jokes were mostly commentary to political decisions which he used to pass palatable advice to the king - think something like medieval Stephen Colbert or John Olivier. Incredibly intelligent and well versed in politics, some believe him to be the grey eminence behind polish golden age. He passed into European culture as a placeholder for depressed intellectual hiding behind a comedic facade. That's why he is usually depicted in a ridiculous jester outfit but in a scholar setup and with an exhausted and concerned expression.
