@@notbroham8377A lot later, but maybe this helps someone... Usually, when the song is fast, the counting is "1... 2... 1 2 3 4 " The first 2 beats are the ones to get everyone ready, the other 4 to give the tempo (4:4 song)
@@drag_611 In this case, it's useful to have those 2 slower beats in order for the person who will play along to have time to hit the play button and get back ready to "play position". The next 4 beats are the reference for the song's bpm. And, at last, from the 7th beat and on, it keeps counting to help the tempo of the Bass intro of the song (if you listen to the original, there is only the bass at the beginning, so the creator choose to let the metronome counting until the entrance of guitar and drums).

The drum is there for you to keep time
1 3 1234. Starts on the next beat. Technically your first bass note should strike on the 7th beat.
