Excellent backing music. Very versatile and heavy bass playing. Pity they did'nt do a better job recording and mixing the vocals. The distance of the singer to the microphone varies and the vocal mix could have been done much better, given that there are harmony tracks as well to work with.
I agree about the lead but there’s things in reggae that are left raw on purpose to give it the signature rough edges that make it unique in the first place

@@largepoodle6036 A lot of newer artists don’t know that reggae is better with the grit and the reason why we have hip hop is because they started “smoothing out the edges” but you see nowadays the two concepts are completely incomparable as one has the message, the flow, and that hardness that reinforces the lyrics in the harsh situations they express. As the ugly grandchild on the other hand, you’ll find a message and meaning in some songs but it’s not as promoted as in reggae but mass majority and what’s most popular are the songs with no meaning or true flow
