    They also offer a block style one epx3100v 2100w 1.76gpm for $116. Turbo nozzle and soap cannon 15 & 20 tips. 3 year warranty. I got it and it’s great. We all know the advertised psi and gpm are at initial start up not working range. I’m very happy with mine!

    Thanks for this review. Would be nice if you could do a comparative analysis for the viewers to choose a unit. Like pitting the Active VE52, the Adams, and this Westinghouse against each other. They seem to be the top three machines. It'd be great to get your take on which of them would emerge as being the best of the them. Also, a primer on the balance of GPM and PSI, specifically if you had to choose a machine that beats the competition in one but not in the other which to focus on more. Both are critical to get effective pressure washing, and they work in tandem of course, but which should be the more primary focus. thanks again Josh. well done!

  • @vg4902

    @IMJOSHV - Car Detailing and Reconditioning Tips You can actually tell a lot based on the testing methods these pressure washer manufacturers use. If they test using CSA standards, like Sun Joe, Powerplay/Westinghouse then they're only testing peak psi at initial trigger pull (no sustained), and max gpm with no nozzle tip attached. So that's why they advertise huge numbers. They're not real world.
    If they test using PWMA certification, like Ryobi, or Greenworks, then they're testing real world sustained performance. Not just peak numbers. To pass and be certified with PWMA, you need to be 90%+ of your advertised performance figures during actual sustained usage.
    So if you're looking for a pressure washer, buy one that is PWMA certified. That way you know what's actually being advertised will be very close to what you get.

    Take in consideration when you add up or replace in extending holes longer than the manufacture, you will lose pressure.
    If you go from a 25 foot hose to a 50 foot you will lose pressure along the way to the nozzle because of the extension of the hose.

    I wonder if when they are rating the GPM, they are rating the max. This could be tested by doing the gpm test with no nozzle at all on the gun so it just flows right through. That would test the capability of the pump.

  • @probuilder961
    @probuilder961 4 місяці тому +1

    So you got 22% less psi and 27% less gpm than advertised. I'm looking at the (electric) Westinghouse WPX3400e w/ 3400psi & 2gpm max. Should I expect 2652psi at 1.46gpm? If so, I'm satisfied with that since I'm switching from an EXCEL 2500psi gas unit. Of course, I don't know the actual performance of mine, but it's plenty.

  • @jasocaz

    Really surprised at the takeaway that this Westinghouse is just "OK." Active has better numbers, but reviews indicate it's super unreliable / poorly built, and the company doesn't seem great to deal with. Other units from Greenworks have better numbers but no TSS. This has TSS + decent GPM at 1000psi + the lowest price by nearly $100.
