I guess I’m the only one who was lucky with mine. I was concerned because the box was beyond beat up... so when I got home and opened it I realized it was in mint condition all the components. Great review man!
I just got this same cabinet from Sams Club also last week. There was a long scratch on the side on cyclops head. it isnt noticeable unless you got very close but i also was a little bummed. overall, my feelings are about the same as you. This thing is GREAT! Marvel v Capcom has always been one of my favorites. I already upgrades the joystick springs amd rotational guards and it feels great playing it, close to what i remember in the arcade back in the day. Great video!

I got mine at Wal-Mart and it was a bit beat up as well. The screen bezel was damaged, but Arcade1up promptly sent me a replacement bezel. I also have some minor imperfections on the cabinet art work as well.
I’m modding an MK Costco into this, I didn’t want to buy another cabinet so I bought a pcb with joystick deck on ebay today, and marquee graphic on ebay and side graphics from arcade graphix and I have to get the riser graphics on ebay which match the 1up. I wish I could find a monitor bezel. I want to use my existing monitor which is a dv17 or whatever which is a newer gen so I hope it works. I paid a bit over $170 for the pcb and joystick, it was bidding so I waited until the end to bid. In the future I want the pcb’s of the Midway and Capcom cabinets and maybe X-Men and Killer Instinct.
Just the package you get and where you get it from. If you get the light up control panel you’re looking at a few extra bucks though. I installed the lights myself though on the back.
I think it’s because of the lcd screen but the arcade had a bulky crt monitor with rgb. Simulated scanlines would make it look better though. Some 1ups have scanlines to simulate a CRT.
@@xzero422 TMNT is the same way. Only thing is to mod it and use emulators with scanline options, shaders, etc. Like installing a raspberry pi to run the emulator and games. I run emulators on Xbox one and it has blocky graphics as well. I can’t find scanline options. The sounds also aren’t calibrated properly in Turtles in Time. Some parts of the music sound softer than others. In MAME you can adjust the volume of the individual music channels. These are really cheap knockoffs made in China arcade games. You get what you pay for.
It would've been fantastic if they put Sega's Genesis version of X-Men on there.

Sounds like a lot of people had bad luck when it comes to the outside of the cab. Good to hear that 1up took care of you though.

What about the graphics looking blocky instead of smooth like in the original arcade? I have that problem with mine.
