I love Kingwood, they're a very supportive band. I remember a few months ago when spring band made 5th place and some students in Kingwood came to hug us all😆. After that I fell in love with Kingwood marching band
Great performance. Anyone know why they are so much smaller now than they were back in the late 90s and early 00s? They are pretty awesome at any size.
At that point, there was only 1 high school for students in all of Kingwood and even some of what's now Atasocita; Now students attend AHS, KPHS, and KHS, so I suppose that would have something to do with it.
Humble ISD grew RAPIDLY. When a district opens new schools it redraws the district and in humbles case they grew so fast that they opened a few schools all with in a 5-7 years. In recent years, Humble ISD has been noticed as one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas and the Houston area. In the 90s all it had was Humble HS and Kingwood HS. Now it has 6 High Schools (the 3rd didn't open until 2006). That is the biggest reason you see the size of The KM4B diminished. It has actually been growing the last few years. I do not come from Kingwood but am a director who knows the community and current and past directors of the program. Its a great school, great program and has some of the best kids as Larry Ward has said (director from the 90s). The current director Destry Balch and Assistant Tyler Morrison are great musicians and are very happy at the school so no matter the size the quality should remain as it has the last few years for the future (unless something drastic happens)
Zack Poling ah thank you for the kind words! and no, we sadly did not make state but we are on the right track to success for the next few coming years, we have improved as a band since 2016 finals! Scored 3 places higher than 2016 finals

Man... I wish I was there for that. Would've been amazing to play at. But glad we made it to Finals.
1:54 ADAM!!! Why the slow turn dude? (Adam is the very tall sousaphone player right next to the other small two)
Idk anything about corp style marching but i think he marched slow a one point near the end
Amazing performance though
@@benhuynh7891 Well, he is Adam. He really doesn't care about band, but he has to do it because his parents force him to.
@@KAIsibs oof i can relate to that
You're a very good man for uploading this!

Definitely no judge bias
State??
Zack Poling no sadly...
Texas
They placed 7th, and only the top 4 went to state (bands obtaining 1st divisions was lower than normal this year)
