    Thanks for being so open about your learning Chris. It's been impressive to watch you venture into this completely different discipline (for you) and listen to you resolve issues. Gotta say, I went to the "dark side" this morning and traded my flagship from another manufacturer for a 31" V3. Thursday I'm gonna put a BeeReal grip on it and start the tuning. EVERYBODY I shoot with shoots TRX, so now they know I'm headed that way for next 3D season. You're definitely becoming an expensive influence on me young man. Ha Ha Ha

    Your building a good road map where you want to be. Perfect practice is good, taking something away from each tournament is good as well. Lighting is always a factor as well. The trick is learning the sight picture in shooting 3d. The thing the pros don't share. Sure they guess the yardage, set there sight then draw the bow. Then they figure out how far they missed by. Then the decision is made where to aim for the 12. Everything in the sight picture is used. The more you know about marks on the target, arrow holes, nocks, spots and so on will help. Next is the scope, your choice of dot, crosshair, rings and so on will help in missed judged yardage and possible aiming points from target markings. Just my 2 cents. Ask me how I know in a PM

    How much tension do you have on your activation spring on your hamskea dropaway? I guess another way to put it would be, how do long does your drop away stay up before it starts to drop from being fully upright?

    • @waynestevenson9613
      @waynestevenson9613 3 роки тому

      Start with the arrow you’ll shoot from the particular bow: set it on the rest with the bow in the upright position at brace, reach out to the end of the shaft at the point and pull down on the end until you flatten the rest, let it go back up. If it bounces around and falls off of the rest there is too much tension. Lower the tension and repeat until the arrow stays on the rest without falling off. Great starting point! Hope that’s helpful. Just my .02c.

    • @gunnarrowlett5851
      @gunnarrowlett5851 3 роки тому +1

      Lots of guys don’t like hunting with a hinge because on some shots where you might need to command the release to shoot between a gap you can’t really do that very accurately on a hinge where as you can command those fast shots with a thumb button. Hope that helps!

    • @tannerharris1483
      @tannerharris1483 3 роки тому
