A very well know dyno guy here in SoCal once told me that the difference between a dirty chain and a clean one can be upwards of 5-6 rwhp. He tested this out on his dyno, but in the mid-2000's. Never forgot that. Never mind the difference between a dirty stock 525 to a clean 520! That's an even bigger difference.
I went 16 front 45 rear I track a lot and canyons fix’s 3rd gear.I only ride weekends on my S1000rr 520 rear vortex sprocket and 525 vortex front sprocket. I also put alpha racing +10hp air filter my bike is flashed with M1000RR flash from the 2022 M1000RR. Just my suspension dailed for my weight and height. What a weapon on the track and canyons.
Hi Mani, here is how to tight/lose the front sprocket without a tool nor engaging a gear. With the chain on, get on the bike to put load on the rear wheel and push the rear brake. This should be enough as long as the nut hasn’t been over-tighten with an impact tool.
One person is enough, try it and you’ll see ;). By the way, never use impact tools neither to lose or tighten the sprocket with a gear on, it can damage the gear.
I watched this video when it came out and was thinking about it today. How I can't wait to see what it does on the dyno. Then I realized I didn't even like the vid, so I just came back to give it a like. Good shit Mani
I'm digging that new chain/sprockets! Can't wait to see those new wheels and how they are going to look on this new 23 M1K! That Alpha sprocket tool is worth its weight in gold considering you are going to pay a shop minimum $110hr to roll your bike on their lift! The only downside is keeping your buddies out of your tools and making sure they pay contributions to the beer fridge😜
Hey Mani, love the channel and was wondering how to get a hold of those MotoMillion front mudguard stickers that you used on your R1M build. I'm starting my own build on my '16 R1M and I love the way your logo sets off the carbon fiber. Thanks.
Do you mean the red square stickers? If so, we have plenty of them! We usually include them in orders. But we're working on having a merch section where you guys can order stickers, sticker packs, and some clothing. It'll be ready soon. But if you ever place an order with us, DM us on Instagram or email us and ask for the stickers so that we can remember to throw them in your order :)
Full of information as usual Mani and I thought I was the only one who lined everything up 😂that sprocket locker is a game changer do they make them for all models?
Thank you Mani for this kind of very informative videos. I have a question though, somebody said that when the chain is new and sticky like that it needs to be washed with kerosene. Is that theory got any logic?
The sticky chain was the stock chain that was on there. The DID chain was just greasy and not sticky. I am not sure about kerosene and what it would do to the o rings.
Mani, does the Marchesini megnesium rims you guys are ordering lighter than the stock carbon rims? because it is hard to believe that magnesium is lighter than carbon.
Did you watch our video? The chain is lighter, and has higher tensile strength. Optimizing the chain & sprocket really helps in the transfer of power from the engine to the wheel.
I was wondering specifically about the gold part. I know the benefits of the chain but i couldnt find any link between that and why its gold. Wondered if it was purely cosmetics@@Motomillion
Just installed ek 3 520 chain and super lite sprocket on my r1 and cbr 600rr So much nicer. If you have an R1 put a 15 tooth sprocket on its 1 tooth smaller and makes the bike so much nicer to ride

Yes, the MotoGP guys told us that the difference is significant!
Mani the Goat.
Thank you!
Looking good! Just love this format. All the good stuff none of the boring ones!
Awesome, thank you!
I build 1/12 scale superbikes. Am not a rider, though my daughter has a Vulcan 800. You are teaching me a lot, so thank you!
Glad to hear it!
Respect Many for really taking care and showing love for Superbikes! No PUIG or Lighttech rear chain adjusters?
Can not run chain adjusters on the M1000RR, since it has the quick change setup. If not, we would have done the TWM ones.

Great job Mani. Upping the Sport Bike game.

More to come!

That sprocket tool is definitely worth it! Made the entire job a breeze
Great informativ video Mani👍👌🔧⚙️
Glad you liked it!
Is there a similar front sprocket tool for the Panigale SP2 or is it not necessary? The rear-wheel change setup on the M is pretty cool.
Unfortunately there is not anything available for the Panigale V4, the lack of traditional frame is one of the reasons.
@@Motomillion of course, that makes sense.
Mani: why does the chain only last for a race?
Motogp engineer: you have no idea..
Me: huh? 😅

Hey Manny FYI those aren’t vernier calipers. Vernier’s have an engraved scale on them. Those are just digital dial calipers
I learn something new everyday! Thank you for pointing it out.
Full of information as usual Mani and I thought I was the only one who lined everything up 😂that sprocket locker is a game changer do they make them for all models?
Thank you Mark. They only make them for the BMW S1000RR / S1000R / M1000RR / M1000R models.
I really enjoying your videos
Great work 😊
Glad you like them!
Hi Mani, more info on the HRC chain please. You didnt even weigh them
Nice video, Thanks✌️
Thank you!

@@Motomillion Thank you very much for explanation and reply.
Changing tires and sprocket and all same in every bikes?
Its a good video🤝🏼
Thank you!

We'll be weighing them so stay tuned!
We'll be able to see the true numbers side by side :)
Mani where I can get that thing orange dots that u put on the sprocket what’s the name
dang it i love this bike
As do we
This guy is a goat!!
Thank you.
finally im waiting for forged merchisini for m1000rr
They'll be here soon!
Mani can you use WD40 to clean the chain?
Yes you can
Yes, this was actually tested, it does not damage the o-rings.
Mani ❤
Any reason for a gold chain? I can only think of heat, but that is a shallow reason

Ah! Understood. Yes, in terms of the color, it is mainly cosmetics :)
Thanks for the answer :D@@Motomillion
