    I usually don’t chalk up until my top set. However, you’re a menace for not chalking up for a top set of 4.

    I hate hip thrust due to set up time. Getting up at 3:30 a.m. to get my workout done before leaving for work, makes me want to use the time wisely. Loved your Celtics skit!

  • @ront2457
    @ront2457 Рік тому

    Since getting my hips replaced and they cut into what glutes I had. I found hip thrusts to be the exercise I feel the most. I do box squats, then either RDL's, Good mornings or rack pulls before, then hip thrusts. I bought a pivot pad and yes they are a pain to set up but for now I feel they are something I need since I have 2 pancakes and can barely squat 145 for a single at this point...My entire lower body days are posterior chain oriented for now. 1 year tomorrow is when the second one was done. I really didn't start adding weight until January. September - Jan was mobility and rehab.
    I'm sold on hip thrusts...Sorry Dr Mike...Although I love his content...I really enjoy your training session vids...gives me ideas but at much much lower weights...LOL

    • @ront2457
      @ront2457 Рік тому

      @@BasementBrandon I couldn't justify the hip thrust bench...the pivot pad works fine for my old azz..but again I agree the setup is a major pain. Plus for a guy that squats +500lbs what are hip thrusts gonna do for you...nada

    Hello sir, I need some help in buying stoic or sbd (old), according to size chart for sbd I may go for L but worn them they weren't as snug as I thought. So decided for a M (33-35), knee is 38cm and I am confused about going with small or medium for good compression. I am a small calves group person and have used 7mm sleeves prior by downsizing them. Pls help in sizing according to sbd and also suggest what should I opt between sbd and stoic.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  Рік тому +1

      Personally between those 2 (normal sleeves) I like the stoic better as mine have always been a bit more dense. Generally for these sleeves you can size down 1 time compared to the sizing chart. Some can go 2 sizes down but it becomes more of a gamble.
