The nostalgia, I first started watching you in the really 2010s with backwards in house with the short 4-8 minutes videos. Still loving it keep up the bangers. 💪💪💪
Great Intro. Seems we're on the same cycle, even though I have more blocks ahead due to my November meet. Also doing more back raises for the same reason you're doing the back extensions. Looking good man!
I hate hip thrust due to set up time. Getting up at 3:30 a.m. to get my workout done before leaving for work, makes me want to use the time wisely. Loved your Celtics skit!
Since getting my hips replaced and they cut into what glutes I had. I found hip thrusts to be the exercise I feel the most. I do box squats, then either RDL's, Good mornings or rack pulls before, then hip thrusts. I bought a pivot pad and yes they are a pain to set up but for now I feel they are something I need since I have 2 pancakes and can barely squat 145 for a single at this point...My entire lower body days are posterior chain oriented for now. 1 year tomorrow is when the second one was done. I really didn't start adding weight until January. September - Jan was mobility and rehab. I'm sold on hip thrusts...Sorry Dr Mike...Although I love his content...I really enjoy your training session vids...gives me ideas but at much much lower weights...LOL
@@BasementBrandon I couldn't justify the hip thrust bench...the pivot pad works fine for my old azz..but again I agree the setup is a major pain. Plus for a guy that squats +500lbs what are hip thrusts gonna do for you...nada
I had to look up the intro to remember how long ago that was. At first I thought “only 2000???” But then I remembered that was 23 years ago. We’re old.
You ever get “transition weeks” I changed my meet date towards end of October but now have 2 transition weeks. Not sure if they’re necessary given that I’ve been training consistently
I started using JuggernautAI because one of your videos about 9 months ago. Glad to see you're still using it. I'm curious, though, how you use it with a coach.
Hello sir, I need some help in buying stoic or sbd (old), according to size chart for sbd I may go for L but worn them they weren't as snug as I thought. So decided for a M (33-35), knee is 38cm and I am confused about going with small or medium for good compression. I am a small calves group person and have used 7mm sleeves prior by downsizing them. Pls help in sizing according to sbd and also suggest what should I opt between sbd and stoic.
Personally between those 2 (normal sleeves) I like the stoic better as mine have always been a bit more dense. Generally for these sleeves you can size down 1 time compared to the sizing chart. Some can go 2 sizes down but it becomes more of a gamble.
@@BasementBrandon let's be realistic here: Omar was being an SJW hypocrite. That's non-negotiable. You're a real man for owning up to something, but you didn't do anything wrong, my friend. Simple reality.

appreciate you brother.
I usually don’t chalk up until my top set. However, you’re a menace for not chalking up for a top set of 4.
Usually don't need it. Must have been nervous.

Anyone knows what Brandon uses at 3:13 to have more info on his deadlift? I cant remember in which video he mentionned it…
I currently use the RepOne velocity tracker. Thats the app that syncs with it.
@@BasementBrandon Do you plan of doing a video on it? Why/how it works, what benefits do you get from it? That kind of stuff
@@octam9733 I talked about it as part of a previous video but I can prob do a take on my personal feelings on it in a stand alone video.
Cinematography through the roof! I might need to get a headband when summer comes back around, I’m a sweaty man.
Protect the dome at all costs.
Loved the walk-out from the bathroom, well done sir!
Haha unfortunately the only door I had in the basement.
Keep up the great work Brandon!
Thanks my dude!
I remember those days. I occasionally go back and watch your old vids.

Hell yeah, let's go!
I do the same thing with HLRs, except I put the leg rollers in the bottom of the rack to stop me from swinging. Great workout bro 💪
Great minds think alike
Still strong as hell Brandon. I remember back in high school when you destroyed that weight training chart with your maxes
Just was trying to keep up with all Bendorf's football guys 😅

Just more hassle than return IMO

I do. I think they're meant so you don't go from a hard week in your old program to a hard week in your new one.

I don't! I stopped using it to do paid coaching through RTS. Didn't really enjoy it so came back to Jugg!
This intro just hits different

Hey Brandon, got some pics of my Schnell discs. Interested?
always! send me some pics of those bars too! email is in description.
BB just leveled up. Go ☘️!
Thanks my dude
Does your diet/nutrition change at all as you get closer to competition?
Not really, I don't see a ton of variance in weight unless it's planned.
Do you update max if it goes down? Seems like you should given the ebbs and flow of rpe ?
If you're getting crushed you can, but the 1rm is based off what work you can do and you almost never do a true 1RM outside of comp.
Enjoyed it brother!
Thanks Phillip! Hope all is well!
What’s the cable attached to your bar on the deadlift? Measures speed?
Yes it's from RepOne, it's a velocity tracker!
Nice. What is the cable on your bar when deadlifting?
Speed tracker I think. Helps with going for the right RPE

Then you need to take some time off and lose about half of your strength. 😅@@BasementBrandon
The real Bird only maxed out on one exercise, his max was only 12oz.

Mike Israetel is 100% correct. Hip thrusts are way over rated. Are those new deadlift shoes?
Just the Tolos shoes I've been wearing!
