- While the whole world watched, 52 Americans were held hostage in Iran by Islamic revolutionaries for 444 days. On the fifth anniversary of their release, using never-before-seen footage from inside the American embassy compound in Tehran, the hostages tell the story of their long ordeal.

Is this narrator the same dude who does it now?? Damn, he's been there for long as hell!
Yes, just like a guy called Everton Fox who has been a weather forecaster for Al Jazeera since 1928.
And the documentary style is also almost same
"From the the network of TV Stations . . . "
I only watch these doc's for the opening music & graphics!
I can’t believe they left 8 dead service men bodies behind.
And then an ayatollah was aloud to spit on there bodies before they were returned.
They should threaten carpet bombing Tehran unless they released the hostages.
They should have asked for help from the SAS.
It looked and sounded like he was sneezing
At 35:53 there were photo of the ayatollah in his room??
the rescue mission is fucking hilarious 😂
So yeah, hard to believe I know…but the movie Argo wasn’t even close to tell the true story of what actually happened. As President Carter said on many occasions, the Canadian government, Ambassador Taylor did 80% of the work & took all the risk to protect & eventually see the release of these people. I’ve often wondered, if the roles were reversed, would the US government go to the extent the Canadian government did? Something as serious as Changing Federal Passport laws in order to manufacture passports under false pretenses to assist citizens of another country? I honestly don’t think they would go that far. But, in true Canadian fashion, they did. Even when false reports surfaced giving the CIA much more credit than deserved…Canadians could care less who got the credit. Innocent people were rescued & home to their families. That’s all that matters.
January surprise indeed. I wonder at the views here and on this channel at a time when millions watch trivial shite it appears not knowing our history will keep life a mystery...
the traitor actually had a great life...The former White Springs police chief, who was among the Americans held hostage in Iran in 1979, was arrested in Hamilton County this week and charged with insurance fraud.
What they don't say is : they made each other their bitch and took turns being the Mary so they could feel like they were locked up back home.
I fear the Persian education system
Persians got pretty scary students.
laughable rescue mission
