A pickaxe you actually use a lot and you actually see it when you use it. Especially in build mode.
These shoes aren't even noticable.
@JVDW1 ok let's see you use a pickaxe at the start of a match for a minute or 2 until you fight someone and you win and take their mats the cap is 500 and everyone farms pretty fast. You hardly use your pickaxe unless you actively run around with it instead of a weapon. Unless you're just bad at the game and drop nowhere with players to get their mats.

This video was not only a good showcase on why the shoes are priced horribly, but also how flawed and junky the locker UI is. I hate it so much
If Lego FN was any indication - we are going to be getting mostly shops that have skins compatible with shoes so dont expect to see some skins for a while
The Spiken Vault Backbling is in the shop for 200, and is usable on all skins
While shoes, usable on less than half of the skins, is 1000 vbucks. Make that make sense Fortnite

Am I the only one who thinks Kick prices aren’t that bad considering the prices of most other cosmetics. Like there’s gliders and pick axes costing more than that and you don’t see them in game too much either. I’d argue you’d see the shoes more
You see your pickaxe all the time and Gliders come in all sort of types and have effects as well as different styles which make them totally worth it. Meanwhile the new kicks are going to be off screen most of the time due to the camera being behind your shoulders, don’t have any effect or style options and so far are mostly generic real life shoes (Boring!).
@ I mean gliders are cool but you only see them for 30 seconds of the game. And don’t most people hold a gun out the whole game instead of the pickaxe so you wouldn’t see it all the time
