It is a Silver Reed electric cone winder, I believe I had seen another brand, but why get a new one when I have one already. Well until my ex will allow me to our house to get my belongings that he let his ho use.
very helpful video, but have you ever had the cone vibrate right off the winder while in the process of winding yarn? This has been a recurring problem for me and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or am I missing something that would prevent it? I always have to stop once in a while and press it back against the cone holder to prevent the previously mentioned problem. Do you have any advice?
Not this one. I did put a layer of white wire tape on the thing that holds the cone as the cones I had were a bit large. Some fit good and others do not. Then later I found out there are 2 different cones. But now my manual winder, I have had the yarn pop off the cone and go flying right by me, pretty funny when it happened. But then I put painters tape on the cone and so far, the yarn stays on the cone. www.hobbyknitter.com/files/tips/winder.html and as I went to find the page, I noticed the pictures were not there but uploading them now.
