I love your videos. You make my knitting life so much easier. Thanks, Diane :-) I have a regular winder and had never seen a cone winder until your video. I appreciate the information.
I am having trouble getting the videos to play through to the end. So I see and hear only the first minute or so, and I'd like to see and hear them through because they're excellent. It could easily be caused by my unfamiliarity with to UA-cam or a mistake of mine. So I will keep trying to identify an error of my own, but I do think that you would like to know of the situation, in case there's something you need to do. Many thanks for your excellent work. 🎷
Hi Diana, I hope your well. I wanted to ask how I may purchase this cone winder please? They don't seem to have a website and I wanted to check the price as well. Thanks
@@dianaknits , thank you for taking the time to reply, it's much appreciated. I have been searching for a cone winder for years but could only find the cake winders. The family seem to be the only ones who sell cone winders, I hope they start selling them again very soon!
I am still using mine quite often. It is a little noisy, but there's no better way to have the yarn wound for feeding the KM. It is almost an essential for working with my antique circular sock machine, which seems to need its yarn fed perfectly. I do hope these go back on the market.
The company has changed hands after the death of the principal. These are now sold by Margit Tritt, a Silver Reed dealer. I don't know if these are exactly the same as they used to be - best to ask Margit.
Hi Diana, Nice video! I've had my SN cone winder for several years now, but I have a question. It seems no matter how firmly I press the cone onto the plastic disk, if I don't stop it every so often and press it against the disk at some point it will vibrate right off the winder. Am I doing something wrong? I've watched a number of different tutorials and not one person mentions this problem occurring.

Since this cone winder seems to be off the market at the moment would a ball winder used for hand knitting make a suitable ball for machine knitting?

Where can I buy this machine online
I don't know. It may not be available right now. Can someone answer this question?

Right now, I don't know. The family that sells these winders was going to get them back on the market but I haven't heard anything.

Good afternoon, tell me where you can buy such a mat for yarn?

The wheel that I press my cone down onto is rubbery. Does yours have that? I think that helps the cone to stick in place.
yes it looks identical to yours.
Nice!
