2:22 Mitsumi was a manufacturer of CD-ROM drives - which is probably why they released that "multimedia" CD containing software from different sources.
Arturia's program looks very complicated, but kinda cool. And looking on that old software what can I say... God save Image-Line and FL!! :) My first songs were made in Audacity. More than 10 years ago.
Another cool software back in the day was ReBirth by Propellerhead Studios, it was a rack-style app like Reason (and Arturia Storm) and featured on-point emulations of a TR-808, a TR-909 and a TB-303. Fun to play with, but when it came to record a track, it was just mental. 😅
a lot of people back in the day used cakewalk and sony acid pro before fl got popular. acid pro 6 and 7 could probably do pretty much modern music production with external vst's but idk about cakewalk before cakewalk sonar. (never owned it) as for vst's korg m1 used to be popular because it was included in a lot of products (like the k series keyboards or padkontrol) and was free for a short while. (actually thinking about it to this day I think it's probably cheaper to buy a korg microkey that comes with licenses than it is to buy the korg legacy bundle for some weird reason) it's kindof a poopy sampler tho.
I couldn't wrap my head around how the dancing alien's legs were moving🤔😐... Also, @ 21:28 that has to be one of the most obnoxious pics I've ever seen😶😐😮💨😒👍🏾
Very refreshing to see a girl in this day and age making music with DAW's even it's from the 90's software. Where I stay in the deep south of South Africa, girls are only interested in girl things and nothing technological unless its the latest phone etc.
Girls get some shit in some parts of the world for trying, and there's often a culture of gatekeeping in male dominated fields which might spook some of them away. Also if you're raised in an environment where your supposed inferiority is constantly pointed out and the culture heavily implies which fields are appropriate for you to pursue (this is basically more or less true everywhere on the planet), you tend to internalize that and become passive in pursuing the things that you actually like. This is why women exist who are intimidated to change a lightbulb or use a power drill, which sounds ridiculous but it's the exact outcome of raising girls like they're not good or smart enough to do these tasks. Some of them can never let go of this mindset and I struggled with it a lot as well when I was younger (feeling like I wouldn't be able to compete because I'm a woman) But I think that the world is changing, and I've had mostly a positive and welcoming experience here on UA-cam and also sharing my content in various places online, so if there's any girls out there reading this long ass comment, don't be discouraged and just start doing the things you love, you might be surprised that people are way nicer than you think.
@@nanospiraI I stumbled on to your channel by chance as I usually do with sound design and was pleasantly surprised to see how well you know you stuff regarding all things sound. I'm planning on trying it but I had an issue with the installation, I'll get to fixing it soon :D
A secret tip is a little known piece of software called "Dr.Drum". The advertising is... stellar.
Found the website that looked super sketchy :D
You will definitely get more subscriber.

The interface or Arturia Storm looks like Reason´s rack
