I’m an old Scott Joplin fan and this young lady absolutely blows me away!
That's awesome! 🎶🎵
Very nicely played indeed. And, I much appreciate the smile at the end, instead of a Vinheteiro stare.
😊v.😵💫
Viva Scotland...etc Scott Joplin!!!❤!
I do appreciate your interpretation. You let the rag speak for itself, and that seems to me a rare thing among modern Joplin interpreters.
Kristen, you are the good old days! Well done!
Don’t recall ever hearing that one before, bright and happy I love it.
Hurrah! Lovely playing.
Very well read piece of music! you deserve a dream island thats not a disease!
Nothing sort of amazing! I love this gal!
There's something about seeing Mr. Joplin's music still played & enjoyed more than 100 years later that really tops off his career like the icing on a cake. He may have never lived to see his music become what he dreamed of & died in heartbreak but oh man, am I sure he would be delighted to see where his name stands today.
I love this, one of Joplin's finest, played with beautiful aplomb. Brava!! ❤
One of Joplin's best -- and one of your best too! Stylish, assured playing.
She is so content while playing, it’s important to be content while playing, it adds so much character to the piece! ❤
You’re really one of the few pianists I legit enjoy watching play. Your playing is so beautifully expressive - and it’s obviously you legitimately love the music. You also had me at Joplin.
Mr Joplin will be proud looking from up on high
Very nice! That's got to be like bowling a 300 game.... the closer to the end, the more nervous you get about not screwing up. Thanks for all you do for music!
Hello Kristen 😊
Tout simplement magnifique.
I like so much listening your covers...
Thanks a lot 😊
This rendering of Fig Leave Rag contains so much heart of your's, Kristen, it is exciting and stunning how much of it still reaches me across the pond.
Often wonder if Joplin had any Scottish ancestors?? He would have loved Scotland!! A musical genius, up there with Chopin, Mozart and Beethoven!!!!
I apologise for the sound of my foot tapping during her videos - I just can’t help it!
LOL! I fully understand! Me too! G Ire
Bravo very great playing
my favorite! ❤❤
Love it ❤❤❤❤
Thanks and congratulations for that good piece of music !
Impeccable!
LOVE IT as always Kirsten!! Legendary OG fellow scott jopliner
Dang! That was really good! No frustrated look, no noticible mistakes with such a long song. SO GOOD!!! Can't wait for the bloopers on this one! I like watching your frustration because I know exactly how it feels! LOL!
Very well done Kristen, love it, you are a very talented young lady.
Beautiful song and beautiful smile at the end. I love it.

Fab!
Awesome! The piano sounds great for ragtime as well. Love your ragtime jams.
Really really cool it was wonderful to hear you play Scott Joplin thank you
So clean. I love it. Thank you!
Bravo Ms. Mosca! You're my piano hero!
Further from last comment, it was the quintinshill disaster 1915 and about 300 soldiers were killed!! Often wonder if Joplin wrote the rag with that in mind!!!! Great memorial plinth in Edinburgh of the disaster!!!!
Fantastic! You are the best and glad to hear Joplin. You raise my spirits for which many thanks. I am not on any social media, so will not be able to down load your new album. ButIi can have this on repeat!
Thanks. Rob
Great job. Joplin is always fun to play and listen to.
Wow 😊
Bravo!!!! 🥰❤
Bravissima !
Tough to listen to a Joplin Rag and come away in a bad mood!😁
Sooo good!!!!
Fabulous 👏👏👏
Wonderful performance, thanks so much for sharing!
Just found Kristen while I was going through other channels... Very glad I did too!
She makes playing Joplin look easy! Which takes some doing. No rushing, keeping the tempo constant, not too fast.
Very well done!!!
Thank you for the new video! Every time I hear and see you play, it puts a smile on my face, and I THANK YOU for that!
Absolutely terrific, Kristen! What a joy you are!
You always make me smile, lovely playing
Bravo!
Magnificent and joyful.
You are very skilled. This rag in particular is very hard. Probably the hardest rag Joplin wrote
Really enjoyed this!! Great performance of this classic!! SJ would be proud.
Always a pleasure to listen to you play :) thanks!
Perfection!
Absolutely wonderful!
Yes! Requested this a while back and here it is!
Very good!!
Absolutely awesome!!!!!!
BRAVO❤ There is is alot work and practice to acheive that beatiful performace. I play Rag time music myself, and I know the amount of work there is behind the scene. BRAVO encore!
Such a clean performance. Amazing 🎉
This piece is so well read. Bravo 😏📗📘
I love this classic and it never gets old. Thank you for the performance!
Thank you Kirsten!
Kristen this is fantastic - thanks for all of the great tunes!
I’ve been a fan of yours for a while, when I first watched your videos I was in middle school and I made a goal to be able to play your disney arrangements. I’m a senior in highschool now and I recently got my hands on You’ve got a friend in me and Jungle book rag as a birthday gift and I’ve been loving them. Thanks for inspiring a young pianist.
Love it!!
Hi from Scotland! Played and studied Joplin all my life. What has always puzzled me is the " great crush collision march rag" written 1916 , the year before he died.. was it because of the worst ever Scottish train disaster in which 300 were killed!! 5 trains smashed into each other!! I've played that rag but it's seldom mentioned in Joplin's legacy!! Did Joplin write it with the crash in mind???
I don't know, but from the name I would think it would be about the "Crash at Crush", which was an intentional publicity-stunt crash of two trains in Texas in 1896.
Update: And, indeed, according to a blog post on Baylor's site, the rag was indeed about the "Crash at Crush", was copyrighted just 30 days after the event (so 1896, not 1916), and according to the blog post "was dedicated to the M.K.&T. Ry., which is of course the very railroad that had just staged the Crash at Crush."
Your playing always brings tears to my eyes: precision without a trace of mechanical timing! All the best.
I really enjoyed this video, Kristen! Thanks for posting!
You go Kristen. I love your new album. I love it🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵💛💛💛💛🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾
That once again was absolutely lovely. Great music, great playing
Nicely done!
Fun song. Beautiful pianist ❤
AWESOME, PROFESSOR .... YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND RAGTIME .... THE WAY YOUR HANDS FLY OVER THOSE KEYS IS JUST AMAZING TO WATCH ... YOUR RAGTIME COVER OF I CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE IS INSPIRED ... KEEP IT UP ....
....................................................
Awesome Kristen!!
Impecabble touch, not too fast... Great contrast between the legato and staccato parts. Well done.
Your tempo is perfect. Hate it when people rush it.
Great performance! The third section was very difficult to nail down for me and you did it great. Also I like your arrangements, loved the extra notes for the right hand at the very end
Thank you so much for this!!! I have always loved ragtime, ever since I was a teenager in the 70s and my parents had albums of Scott Joplin's music, played by the New England Ragtime Ensemble (I think that was the name of the band, if memory serves). I also love your shorts, and your take on modern music. I loved "All of Me" (one of my favorite songs), and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" had me tearing up, as it was my late mother's favorite song (and movie).
That is incredible....awesome to see a young person playing ragtime.
Have you ever played at the Ragtime Music Festival, or ever attended? It's in Rancho Cordova, CA near Sacramento. Fabulous! Great job on the Fig Leaf Rag. Thank you.
Difficult to play, especially the dense chords in the trio. Very well executed with feel
Nice interpretation, and the improvisation makes it 2x better
Great song with a beautiful smile. ❤
I've missed your videos
Love this one! One of my favorites! Do you know Palm Leaf Rag by chance?
Amazing! I feel so much happier now! thanks for sharing!!!
I didn't know how much i needed this as I woke up (I'm a night owl/worker....) Thanks so much for sharing your talent and this great song!
