Hi JazzMentlists - Today I launched an exciting new jazz piano tutorial designed specifically to help you improve your left and right-hand coordination and two-hand independence. In just one minute a day, per exercise, you will see a massive difference in your coordination. The Swing Hanon exercises will help you master technical proficiency, while the octave unison on a melody exercise will improve your left and right-hand coordination. The Block Chords exercise will improve your finger dexterity, and the LH Bass & RH comping exercise will help you master two-hand independence. This jazz piano tutorial is perfect for both beginners and advanced players. With just one minute a day per exercise, you'll see a significant improvement in your jazz syncopation skills. jazzmentl.com/4-one-minute-habits-that-will-improve-left-right-hand-coordination-members-page/
Greetings Paul and all, it's been a minute since I've logged in and on...life's challenges but back on 88's. The Hanon exercises, that swing? Who'da thunk it? LOL!!! Thank you.
I did it for a recording I did early in my UA-cam journey... I didn't know much about making UA-cam videos back then. ua-cam.com/video/GhZVn9fDtlU/v-deo.html
Alright! Francia, you may want to check out my free Jazzmentl course. You'll be swinging in no time jazzmentl.com/the-ultimate-beginners-guide-to-jazz-piano/
Great lesson. In addition to the things you talked about, I learned from watching how smoothly you move your right hand in and out between the black and white keys on some of the block chords. Plus, the walking bass improv was super tasty (but far too short!) ALWAYS top notch content on this channel.
Thanks for the feedback David. It really helps to know what supports players on this channel, so its good to hear what is working for you 🙂 I appreciate you. Thanks a million.
Glad to hear it Helmut. I always think about "how would I have liked to learn this" and curate the lessons accordingly. So I appreciate the feedback. Until people use them, it's hard to know how effective they are or how quickly pianists can consume them and get it in their jazz dna.
