Animator's Palate is a staple among all four of Disney Cruise Line's ships, but on the Disney Fantasy the restaurant offers an all-new show called Animation Magic, making diners' drawings come to life, interacting with Disney characters.
Disney, this is exactly why we love you. You make each and every individual feel special, included, important, remembered, and like an animator, artist, and- most magically- best friend to Mickey Mouse. Disney for life!

This was BY FAR the most magical, best moment of our entire cruise! The magic is truly unlike anything ever experienced, for the whole dining room.

This was totally amazing! I loved the part where the Disney characters and the kid made characters dance together.
Love how they put all that effort into this!
Now that is some passion for animation and Mickey looks WAY better than he does in the Mickey Mouse 2013 shorts.

I like how you get to draw out and design your own cartoon character on paper . Then Socerer Mickey Mouse thats on the show that you watch . Mickey brings the drawings to life very cool . I like also how they designed the ship .

They already convert all the white parts of the drawings to transparency. It shouldn't be too much harder to convert all the other colors to black so that the characters can cast shadows that are actually shaped like them.

How did they do this!?
If you get them to draw it on the sheet like you see when mickey first pops one out, they can edit out the paper and then fit it onto a skeleton. They then use canned animations with the skeleton and wham, instant awesome. The hard part was setting it all up animation wise. The actual conversion to useable animations isn't likely to be too hard.
