Yeah, Clockwork just has some horror elements, unsettling atmosphere mostly. "The Fifth Gate" and "Into The Depths" are the premeir horror mods for Skyrim. But, alas, they are only for legacy Skyrim.
33:25 I got scared to death in the daedric Nightmare quest in Oblivion. The corrupted guard which you put in jail in the Imperial City followed me to the nightmare world to exact his revenge. I entered the one room with all the burning bodies hanging. The scene itself was really unsettling and I just stood there in silence for a couple of seconds watching the bodies burn and then I suddenly heard someone unsheath a sword behind me and started screaming and attacking me. I almost shit my pants. It was the worst jumpscare I've ever experienced in any video game.
He came at me when I had just started the Dark Brotherhood questline. Killed him right in front of the Black Door. At least I proved to them that I could handle killing people.
I have the mod but hadn't played it yet, I'm waiting to complete all the main and important side quests since I've been told they different things happen when you've completed certain quest lines.

If you like cooking in Skyrim you should try the 'complete alchemy and cooking overhaul' which gives food passive benefits, makes food very useful and worth grabbing. And of course does stuff to alchemy as well as the name suggests.
I didn't play this mod much, but I do remember the ghost lady. When I got switched to her pov, I went "Come at me!" and then "Oh god, she's coming at me-" And then when she followed you under the ice, I spent 10 minutes walking in circles and giggling
Last time I played Skyrim my savefile corrupted inside of this dungeon/quest. I headcannoned it as my character being an NPC that went in there and died. Felt fitting.
I wasn't expecting you to cover this mod, Its a great mod, wouldn't call it horror so much as mystery though, the intro part is kinda spooky but it gets progressivly less creepy if you ask me.

Yeah, this so far seems like a very well-crafted mod, and I'm excited to see you play more of it. Dungeon design is epic, voice lines are epic, maybe not so much as a horror mod, but dayum, the machines kind of make me uncomfortable due to them seeming like they're human souls trapped in a machine and somehow got corrupted into a madness. Combine that with their lines and how their spoken, it's just done really well.
MINOR SPOILERS: the part with the carillon music while you search the source of the sound made me very uncomfortable. It didn’t felt completely horror, but I didn’t feel safe at all.
I love that in my playthrough, right when lahar said "We haven't had a visitor in a long time" the courier sprinted OUT of the castle and straight towards me, to deliver a letter from the jarl.
@@gurbo8734 On an unrelated note, you're having ptsd from how Dragon Age II's infamous dungeons being literally the exact same cave and warehouse reused constantly, and you have to go in them every five minutes or so.
Honestly Clockwork is a must have on my mod list! I don’t always play it and tend to TCL through the initial chase scene (too spooky!) but it’s always great seeing the first view of Clockwork Castle after that gauntlet.
I remember playing clockwork for the first time just over a year ago, that intro sequence in the tunnel was the most scared I'd felt in a while. Even though the horror elements dont really last, I would highly recommend this mod, it's really well made and the story really is more engaging when you're playing it.
Before even letting it play beyond the Unnecessarily Aggressive Child: Clockwork is definitely my favorite Skyrim mod. The beginning horrifying part is put together so marvelously, and some of the psychological horror of it sticks with you. The singsong boss is great and I wish there was more from him - taunts and stuff, plying up and down his scale. Mod messed me up the first time, it really did, and now I can just appreciate it for what it is. Looking forward to watching your go through!
I hope some workarounds will let you complete Clockwork at some point. Anniversary really did exactly what modders were afraid of it doing and borked all sorts of mods, even for SE. Fingers crossed. It's just such a good mod to lose it due to Bethesda doing Bethesda things (it's Todd lbr).
Also as one of the people who recommended this mod, I am happy you decided to play it. It has some options settings in the mcm menu that can make it more/less difficult as well. I don't want to say what it does cause it spoils a feature, but it might be advertised on the mod page, Ibdon't remember

Clockwork is my favorite horror mod, straight up for the music box suddenly playing in your armory after everything and if you go back down you’ll find the centurion is gone. Shit scared me first time entering my armory and hearing the music box and I had to find it hidden in the armory.

The third act of the mod Vigilant is a good example of Skyrim horror mods. Trouble is you'd have to get there first and the first act is terrible, plus you can make a wrong decision that skips the second act altogether.
"Be cool if the Dwemer locks were at least gold or something"... There was actually a mod to give different models to different locks which came out right around the same time as this video!

It’s fairly simple if you think about it. The courier is obviously a god who can know where ever and whenever you are, the tenth Devine of messages and prudence. He disguises himself as the humble courier to observe and keep track of the Dragonborn’s progress on their legendary quests.
this is such a gem of a mod. it and wheels of lull are prob my favorite quest mods. they just do so many interesting things with skyrim's mechanics that its a joy to play thru!
Irish people have the best accents, I could watch anything with that Irish accent blabbering on and on, it makes everything sound kind of whimsical and funny!
The mod was decent but the home reward was lackluster. I never kept it because of that. I've also been spoiled by Caranthir Tower which is one of the greatest mods ever made for Skyrim.
Micky, if you like DLC-sized mods that are proper great, you could try VicN’s Vigilant. There’s also a proper voice-acted fan-made add-on for it, and an English translation. Probably one of the best big mods next to Legacy (or Apotheosis, soon™️)

The best mod I've played thus far is definitely The Forgotten City! That would be a good Halloween theme. It's about time travel.

The mod was decent but the home reward was lackluster. I never kept it because of that. I've also been spoiled by Caranthir Tower which is one of the greatest mods ever made for Skyrim.

Micky, if you like DLC-sized mods that are proper great, you could try VicN’s Vigilant. There’s also a proper voice-acted fan-made add-on for it, and an English translation. Probably one of the best big mods next to Legacy (or Apotheosis, soon™️)
