Hi, We made a stone guard for the back of the DMAX using Busy Bee Brush based in Melbourne. Metal fabricator made up a piece of square tube that goes over hitch with two ars where we added the brush. Works fantastic and only half the weight of Rock Tammers. I think they may have a ready made system now as we saw some in WA with a Busy Bee Brush sticker.
@@annepowditch5543 Thanks so much for the tip. It is the one job we havent done yet. So im glad weve waited now.👍😊 Thanks for watching, we appreciate the feedback. Safe and Happy travels Ken and Julie. PS, was thinking about it today as we a 10km dirt road today. Being only 10km not to bad, just went slow.😊😊
You will love the diesel heater. Only time we find you can’t use it is when you are parked close to another van because of the exhaust. It works so much better than the Ibis in the roof. We have just completed our lap, 9 months and 8 days. So much stuff we wouldn’t take again. We are thinking of another battery to hook with the original lithium one. Also want to do a bit more off grid. Did do a few on our recent trip.
@@OurWanderingWays Hi, agree, we packed to much stuff and have been taking out and thinning out since home. If we didnt use it, gone. If we only used a couple of times, we asked ourselves, could we have used something else, if yes, gone. Its hard to know what your going to need when you go away for 9 or 10 months and will be so far from home. Like you, now we know. Lol Thanks for watching Safe and happy travels Ken and Julie
Nice. Love a good list. Ditch the old battery and get one 200ah lithium from 4wd supacentre. If you think the deisol heater is good wait till you have the lithium battery. OH MY...
I have an mux as a tow rig, If you're looking to put a second battery somewhere, Itechworld do the 105ah 120x lithium fits perfectly under the bonnet behind the start battery, tjm make a battery tray kit the fab work is solid, just an idea to think about.
Hi Sep, it really is one of the best habits we've adopted. No more asking ourselves? Have we done this or did we do that. Can drive down the road with confidence. Talk soon Ken and Julie
1st on the list should be Julie and 2nd Ken :)

We definitely have a check list after being caught in the past leaving things behind and cupboard doors open to name a few.
