Here's quick and easy explosions for you Godot users! 💥 There's a VFX GODOT Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLpPd_BKEUoYh3umaVIKVFsqxRWvGzQzc2.html There's also a *UNITY* version of this video: ua-cam.com/video/tjSxICUXMmM/v-deo.html
Love the Godot Content. Keep it coming please. A walkthrough of equivalent settings between Unity VFX Graph and Godot would be amazing. Then us Godot users could use all your awesome Unity tutorials as well
I love your content about godot-effects. As solo-dev it is not easy to cover all the themes, so I am glad for this! Thank you, liked subscribed and commented for the algorithm :D
super cool I'll totally use these! are shaders better for effect trails on fast moving objects rather than particles? Mine are hardly noticeable when testing but look great in the editor
I was really intimidated of VFX and particles overall but this was very reassuring and intuitive to follow, i think i can pull of whatever I've got in mind by learning little by little :) Thanks for the great tutorial, love to see the immense support for an opensource alternative :))
@@GabrielAguiarProd Thank you... I have being able to replicate some of your unity tutorial in godot thanks to the godot tutorials. But some are waaay to confusing to replicate 🥲.. This would really help
Great tutorial! BTW I have a tip until there is no particle graph if you need the same curve to be applied to many inputs you can save one of them as a resource file and select it in others that way it will be shared :)
did godot change the way align Y interacts with particle billboards? As soon as I enable particle billboard it doesn't seem to function, and just keeps the Y straight up
I think Godot Tutorials might be free Adsense Real estate. also lets start a partition to bring visual scripting back as an extension. i want to perminantly transition from unity but the visual scripting is gatekeeping. but please consider making all your tutorials but in Godot
This is a really smart idea to make a series of some kind about hacky!? Gamejam vfx polish! Idk just me wondering 😆 good video as always. Btw Godot updated their Gpu particle nodes “specifically the particle process resource” and I’m interested to hear wdyt about it because you criticized it before, if it’s an improvement especially on the organization department.
Thank you for you efforts, you're a great resource for me, I would really like a course but instead of on Godot, a course on concepts and fundamentals, like when I see an effect how can I analyze that thing, basic things like texture packing, erosion, tiling, sorting uv's, modeling for vfx, coz those are unexplored to most of new vfx artists@@GabrielAguiarProd
Opinion quite valid, and I agree. Godot is inferior, but it has a few pros. One is that it is fast and responsive, while Unity it seems you have to wait a century for it to even load up your scene. With Godot you can code in the game engine and see results quickly; unlike Unity where you have to use Microsoft's bloated garbage and wait for compiling. If it wasn't for that I'd drop the sack of janky shit Godot is and goto Unity, even if I have to learn C#. Currently I am using Redot which is a fork of Godot. I am giving it a chance, but I don't have much hope. I tried to learn Unreal Engine, but it is so unstable, I uninstalled it.

Using the RAW numbers for the colors is a cool thing I hadn't thought to use. HDR can still look decent without bloom.

Solo-Dev is hard! Glad I can help a little.
This is a real great video, been using it all year because i always forget, thank you very much
Great to hear!
Really cool thank you so much! Will there ever be a lightning effect from GODOT FVX?
Yes, possibly!
super cool I'll totally use these!

Great to hear! There will be more Godot tutorials this year, we are planning a few.
Very nice tutorial, good work!
oh God .. Thank you .. loving the Godot content ... can you make the ground slash in Godot too😢 ❤
Yeah, I'm planning on doing some more advanced stuff for Godot too :)

Glad it did 🙌
Very good. I love your godot content. 🎉
Glad to hear that!
Great video, thanks! Can you please give us the shockwave params?

Vai continuar com esses tutoriais de VFX na Godot? Foram os melhores que encontrei.
Sim, estamos a planear mais alguns para este ano.
@@GabrielAguiarProdMuito bom, vai ajudar muito a melhorar com nossos projetos.

Nice, fast and very well explained gg
BROTHA IM GONNA KISS YOU THIS VIDEO IS INCREDIBLE
@@jimmybean420 hahah glad you like it
You're crazy, buddy. Subbed.
Welcome!
Thank you
Godot content! So cool!
Amazing 👍👍
Keep the hard work
Can you make a muzzle flash/bullet trail?

Thanks! Yeah got check it out for sure. Wanna make more Godot tutorials and perhaps even a course.

Am fine with you branching out to other engines but please don’t stop making Unity content!!
I love Unity too much to leave it! :D
Woah when did you transition to Godot?
Not transition, more like added Godot to my list of possible videos :D
if i learn unreal vfx, can i bring it to unity?? or should i learn both?
Learning both is always good. I would suggest starting with Unity.
@@GabrielAguiarProd i want to know if its possible to do this in blender or similar software or game vfx is specifically created within game engines?
Unity tutor pls!(
how can we use it ? like instanciate to another scene ?
C# - Godot 4.2.1
[Export] Private PackedScene ExplosionsEffect;
public override void _Process(double delta)
{
if (Input.IsActionJustPressed("left_click"))
{
Node3D explosionInstance = ExplosionsEffect.Instantiate();
AddChild(explosionInstance);
}
}
@@hadikodyazalm5742 amazing thanks
godot?
Yeah, wanna bring VFX for everyone here on the channel. But it's always going to be mainly Unity at it's core.
Your sound like braky
Godot is very low quality than unity
opinion invalid
