And I appreciate the compliment, I try to make the shorts promoting these videos not be too annoying lol!

How many Accuracy-lowering moves could you put on someone else? That could help a bit. Zebstrika appears to get Sand Attack and Swagger. Having Lightningrod could mitigate some weaknesses for Dodrio. Corviknight gets Sand Attack, Light Screen, Reflect, Swagger and has Mirror Armor, so it bounces Intimidate back to your opponents. That might be helpful. OH! I always forget about Mudslap. That could be good and several Pokemon learn it. Edit: Have you tried using Thrash for the auto-self-confusion? That takes some time, but you could avoid gambling on hitting Swagger entirely.
Oooh thrash is really interesting, I would only be worried about Dodrio fainting before the turns are up lol - also, I love the idea of expanding the accuracy lowering moves across the board
An Araquanid video would be fun to see next. With water bubble + rain + mystic water the thing hits like a TRUCK and tera water is only there to boost it even further.
The most ridiculous thing about dodrio is how they gave it a massive buff in gen 7 and then took it back immediately without ever letting it appear in a regular game. They took jump kick away from dodrio and replaced it with lunge. LUNGE. Because bug is definitely an acceptable replacement for fighting type coverage, right!?
Reminds me of when I brought shiny Linoone from original Ruby version in SW/SH. It was max speed, max HP, Pickup Adrenaline Orb with Icy Wind, Covet, Thunderwave and Helping Hand. It was in a format where you were allowed 1 restricted so it was on the team with Zacian. Basically I would bait Intimidate to get a speed boost from Adrenaline orb so I'd actually be fast enough to run support with Icy Wind and Thunderwave. The idea would be for Pickup to grab Focus Sash or Sitrus Berry after the A-Orb got used up. Covet was for breaking focus sash and getting rid of annoying items. It wasn't very good and hardly brought Linoone but I eventually made it to Master Rank and got Linoone his ribbon.
The thing that makes most Normal/flying type lack is when they roost, they essentially become x2 weak after being x1. Idk any other tying that does that after they heal…however most healers lose their 50% heal effect if weather is up (except morning sun w 60/65% when when sun is up, but heals 25% when rain is up)
Loved the pacing of this! Even though I watch VGC vids at 1.5x speed, I could tell there was no down time. Something a lot of poketubers are too lazy or unskilled to cut. Also, love the bird. I've seen this strat before but I won't pass up my favorites. Subbed.

I believe that you can truly do wonders with any of your favorite Pokemon. So far I have been doing pretty well with a team revolved around Lilligant-H in the ladder. Of course, I lose too, but I win too. Lilligant-H doesn’t scream “Ogerpon” or “Rillaboom”, but as long as the team revolved around her supports her and synergizes well, I’m happy with it. Winning with your favorites is possible. Just make sure they have the right support and teammates to truly shine. .. Now, I’ll try and see how to make a good Bellossom VGC format team. It’s gonna be hard- but I’ll have fun all the way at least. This video really is super well done, and it resonated with me. You earned a new sub, man.
As a fellow anti-meta person, mad respect! Good luck with belossom, would probably put it next to a tank like registeel, regirock, or kommo o. Iron defense with those guys, and strength sap from bellosom. They’ll live forever. Sleep powder from belossom definitely wouldn’t hurt. Have you tried coaching lilligant? Would love to hear your ideas on that

Think of it like this: Dodrio has 3 heads, right? Confusion seems like it would hit this Pokemon rly hard, just cause it has 3 heads. Even if 2 of the heads were clear-minded, the third head could always derp up lol! I think there's Pokedex entries that suggest the heads bicker, and I think this play style rly capitalizes on that. With this in mind, I love and attempt to build sets that reflect their Pokedex entries. Even if its just for fun. This play style is wild and reckless- love it! I was also happy to see Dodrio put in some solid work!
I love these series, let's go with my boy Cacturne. With its water immunity to Ogerpon Wellspring and Urshifu Rapid Strike, psychic immunity to expanding forces, access to Spiky Shield and strong priority moves in Sucker Punch and Grassy Glide to catch up to its low speed, it won't be hard to use, i'm sure

Loved the video, though if i were to make a suggestion have you considered getting someone to help with commentary during the gameplay. I watch a lot of moxie boosted and my favorite part of his videos recently has been the commentary from him and his friends
I watch Moxie too! I really like that idea, I’m currently working on developing my solo commentary skills at the moment (just because I think it will serve me well in all aspects of the UA-cam thing), but I definitely see myself integrating content like that into the rotation in the future!

Hey @slamgaming32 - what if you used a berry to get rid of confusion instead of bright powder on dodrio instead. You can use a much more powerful acrobatics and you can just run a speed nature with max speed to help dodrio with its speed. And for coverage you can also just use drill run for steel and rock types and in case you run into an air balloon gholdengo you can also have knock off or throat chop so that doesn’t get in the way. But besides all of that great video👍👍👍👏👏❤️❤️
Dodrio could be justified to get Skill Link, since Fury Attack is kinda iconic for them. Or even an upgraded exclusive version that adds and extra it at the end only for multi hit attacks (to avoid some Parental Bond crisis).
I would love that new ability idea, like skill link ultra haha - I think Tail Slap would also be a great addition to the moveset for Dodrio, that flat tail looks like it could really do some damage (plus it would be a significant damage upgrade from fury attack)
I messed around with Powerherb Sky Attack Moltres back in XY because I got traded an Adamant Moltres and was inspired. You've encouraged me to bring it back now that it learns Temper Flare. I'll let you know how it turns out ahaha

Usually I watch setup and sweeping kind of videos in pokemon showdown, but 90% of that times it is fake, So I really like seeing using underrated pokemons in direct games. And is it possible for Dodrio to use this setup with "double team" to further increase evasion on 1st turn itself or using double team would be risk that Grimsnarl will miss Swaggger if it moves slower?
I like the idea! But unfortunately Dodrio doesn't get access to double team in gen 9. Also, your point about Swagger being even harder to hit would also be true haha
Just realized you could do the the "Swagger into Own Tempo" thing with the move Flatter on Oricorio against a Lilligant who's Quiver Dancing to give them both that boost... Sad thing is Flatter for some reason doesn't match Swagger's Sharply Boost, instead only giving a +1 to Special Attack. (Edit: Flatter is 100% accurate so maybe that's why)

I felt like you should have put a persim berry for dodrio to remove that confusion, while also adding in acrobatics since your using the persim berry right away.
